World Team Poker Hits Vegas
World Team Poker has announced its inaugural event will be held at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas just days before the 2010 World Series of Poker begins.
Set for May 19, the $50,000 one-day event will feature 40 of the world's top poker pros representing eight different countries on five man teams.
Each of the teams will be captained by superstars of poker in their respective countries, including Phil Hellmuth, Jr. (Team USA), co-captains Johnny Chan and David Chiu (Team China), Men "The Master" Nguyen (Team Vietnam), Eli Elezra (Team Israel) and co-captains Jeff Lisandro and Tony Guoga (Australia).
It will be a five-table shootout format consisting of rounds of Limit Hold'Em, Pot-Limit Hold'Em and No Limit Hold'Em.
Viewers from around the world will be able to watch live streaming coverage of the event at www.worldteampoker.com and it will be filmed for TV.
