Samuel “€urop€an” Vousden entered GGMillion$ final table with 5th stack

Vousden started the final table fifth in chips. For the first two hours, he spent most of the time among the shortest stacks. At 5-handed play, he was down to just 8 BBs — then came the comeback.

One hand later, Vousden eliminated Juan Pardo from the tournament: KQo > A9s in a 17 BB pot, with a King arriving on the turn. His stack grew to 31 BBs, though he still remained the shortest stack at the table.

A couple of hands later, Vousden won a 32.5 BB pot from David Kaufmann. Vousden opened from the SB with J 7 , while Kaufmann defended the BB with 5 7 . The board ran out 6 9 8 3 Q . Vousden fired a pot-sized bet (6.5 BBs) on the flop and another 6.5 BBs on the turn. The river went check-check.

Vousden then picked up several small pots and climbed into the chip lead.

In 4th place, he eliminated Kaufmann: A 9 > K 9 in an 18 BB pot. The chips went in on the turn on a board of 3 10 9 5 .

In 3rd place, Vousden knocked out Blokhin. The effective stack was 17 BBs. Blokhin opened with Q 8 , and Vousden defended the BB with K J . The board came 8 Q J 4 K . Blokhin fired three barrels, including an all-in on the river.

Vousden entered heads-up play with 126 BBs against Leon Sturm’s 30 BBs. Sturm doubled up within a few hands but then gave everything back. The tournament ended in a coin flip: 3 3 > A 10 in a 64 BB pot.
