UltimateBet signs Swedish pro

Johan Storakers

Johan Storakers, a 35-year-old Swedish professional poker player, recently signed on as a member of UltimateBet's team of players. He is considered to be one of the hottest new talents on the international poker circuit and will represent the site at tournaments as well as play on the site.

"Being asked to join the team of poker professionals at UltimateBet is a huge honor for me," said Storakers. "Playing alongside legends such as Phil Hellmuth can only improve my game and take me forward to a first World Series of Poker bracelet."

Along with Hellmuth, Storakers will be joining Freddy Deeb, and more on the team.

Storakers has more than $1.37 million in career earnings, 41 cash finishes, and more than a dozen final table appearances in World Series of Poker and World Poker Tour events. His most recent cash was for ninth place in the $10,000 Bellagio Cup II No-Limit Hold'em event in August.

"UltimateBet has already built a strong following amongst professional poker players for its excellent software and wide variety of games. Our goal through signing such an outstanding European talent as Johan is to build awareness of and interest in UltimateBet from more recreational players," said Chris Welch, managing director of Loudvision, UltimateBet's marketing agency. "This signing is part of our plans to launch the UltimateBet brand into key European markets and build on our 2.5 million player base."
