Tweet Relief: WSOP Chatter, Isildurments
The PokerListings Tweet Relief is one massive score in a lifetime of losing Tweets.
Every week we dig through hundreds of sometimes painfully dull Tweets about poker to bring you the 100% grade-A, top-shelf ramblings about the poker world.
This week the poker community was buzzing pretty hard about Viktor “Isildur1” Blom’s back-to-back SCOOP accomplishment.
With online cash games, live tournaments and now online tournaments it appears the only format of poker Blom has yet to conquer is live cash games. In all likelihood he probably crushes those too, anyways.
In other news the WSOP hosted a press conference that actually revealed some interesting information such as the fact players are going to be able to talk a lot more at the tables and the $50k Players Championship getting axed from the TV lineup.
Check out our top picks from Daniel Negreanu, David “Doc” Sands, David Bach, Adrienne Rowsome and even the man of the moment – Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.
Great job @WSOP for fixing the no talking and celebration rule. Nice to see that when the masses speak, the people at WSOP listen.— Daniel Negreanu (@RealKidPoker) May 8, 2012
Poker joke that'll never make it to TV: Faraz Jaka’s gotten more pairs of queens than a non-denominational wedding chapel in Vermont.— Joe Stapleton (@twojacksjoe) May 7, 2012
Ho-hum, @RealIsildur1 wins another SCOOPament— Kevin Mathers (@Kevmath) May 8, 2012
Nice to win the two scoops, can't have a single winning day in PLO tho, don't know what I'm doing wrong there .. #SCOOP2012— Viktor Blom (@RealIsildur1) May 9, 2012
Isildur1 is the Blom. #scoop— Short-Stacked Shamus (@hardboiledpoker) May 8, 2012
I wonder how many infraction points the 2p2 hacker gonna get.— Troll Cat (@2p2TrollCat) May 8, 2012
Disappointed that 50k Players at WSOP not televised this year. BUT now we can do the right thing and return final table to mixed games.— david bach (@gunslingerbach) May 9, 2012
