Simon Trumper signs on to 'Poker Night Live' commentary team

Simon "Aces" Trumper has signed on to become the newest member of the "Poker Night Live" commentary team.

"Simon will add great depth to the show," said Sam Orams, creative director. "We are really excited about welcoming one of Britain's top players onto 'Poker Night Live.' No doubt, our viewers' games will go from strength to strength with this regular addition to the show."

Simon "Aces" Trumper, whose 10-year poker career includes multiple tournament wins and being crowned European Poker Champion, joins the show starting in November. He also has experience commentating at tournaments, giving him the credentials and the knowledge to offer his advice and wisdom on the show.

"'Poker Night Live' has always been as much about education as it has entertainment," said Jim Sibcy, managing director. "By getting Simon 'Aces' Trumper on board, we have not only guaranteed another avenue to educate, we have also got ourselves a real entertainer."

Trumper had this to say about his new gig, "I am very much looking forward to the opportunity of interacting with the live audience, and I hope to impart some of my years of experience gained through both playing and commentating."

The show airs each day on SKY Channel 843, also known as the Poker Zone, at 9 p.m.
