Between now and June 29, players at Ladbrokes Poker can qualify online for a $21,000 prize package to play in the Ladbrokes Poker Million VII.

The Poker Million VII is Europe's longest-running televised tournament, according to Ladbrokes Poker, and the qualifiers will get to play in one of the 12 televised, six-person heats.

Like last year, the event will be open for pro players to buy their way into the Poker Million VII. According to Ladbrokes, it gives the online qualifiers a rare opportunity to play against some of the best players in the world.

There is also a new twist to the event this year. Ladbrokes Poker will be adding four additional semifinal seats, two of which will be won online at Ladbrokes while the show is being broadcast.

The two other seats will be played for in two televised six-handed second chance tournaments by the runners-up in the 12 heats.

For a shot at the Poker Million VII, players at Ladbrokes Poker can pay as little as $1 to play in one of the multiple daily super satellites being offered. The daily satellites feed into the regular daily and weekly finals.

A dollar isn't much to ask for a shot at becoming a part of the Poker Million history that has seen the likes of snooker player Jimmy White, EPT found John Duthie and Joe Beevers take home wins. To sweeten the pot, Ladbrokes is also going to add $500,000 in prize money.

That means first place is guaranteed $1 million.

"We're keen to build on the popularity of Ladbrokes Poker Million, knowing that it holds a special place in poker history," said Edward Ihre, Ladbrokes Poker managing director.

"The changes we made last year allowing the cream of the world's poker players to buy-in [were] well received and we think the addition of four seats and the opportunity to get in on the action while the event is full flow is another interesting facet to the tournament that will be welcomed by our players. Ultimately, we want to ensure that the format remains fresh and exciting to all."

The Ladbrokes Poker Million VII heats will be broadcast every Tuesday from Sept. 9 to Dec. 9 on Sky Sports 2. The semifinal will be broadcast live in December.
