Just in case you can't find a four-leaf clover, paddypowerpoker.com is giving you a chance to qualify for the 2008 Irish Open.

The online gaming site, which is Ireland's largest, today announced its complete schedule for 2008 Irish Open satellites.

To celebrate the launch paddypowerpoker.com will be hosting a special $1 buy-in tournament with a €4,500 Irish Open ticket for the winner. The amazing satellite will take place on Aug. 29 at 9 p.m. (BST). With only 1,000 seats available paddypowerpoker is advising players to register early to avoid being left out.

"The €4,500 ticket alone is a nice little return on your $1 entry but if you can turn it into 800 grand at the Irish Open, well, it will be the greatest investment known to man!" said paddypowerpoker communications manager Nic Whelan.

The $1 buy-in satellite is just the tip of the iceberg for Irish Open qualifiers. Every two weeks from now until the Irish Open paddypowerpoker will offer super satellites. For $340+$20 players will get a chance to win an $8,500 package that includes the €4,500 buy-in to the Irish Open Main Event in addition to $2,500 in expenses.

The fortnightly super satellites will happen every second Sunday of the month at 9 p.m. There will also be daily satellites at 1 p.m., 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. for a fraction of the cost.

The Irish Open, which started way back in 1981, has seen tremendous growth in the last few years and the 2007 Irish Open saw a record-breaking field of 708 players including big-name stars like Mike Sexton, Phil Laak, Jennifer Tilly, Andy Black and many more. The first prize of this year's event is set at a minimum of €800,000 with a guaranteed prize pool of €3 million.

Last year Thomas Finneran from Galway parlayed his online qualification through paddypowerpoker into a seventh-place finish at the final table. It was good enough to earn Finneran €75,000. Northern Ireland's Marty Smyth was the big winner taking out Roland De Wolfe in heads-up play. Smyth took home an enormous paycheck of €650,000.

Further details for the Irish Poker Open 2008 will be released in the coming weeks and players should check www.irishpokeropen.com for updates on qualification, venue, side events, betting, offline satellites and more.
