Another poker movie in the works

By Lianne Elias

A new poker movie is set for production in Las Vegas and Los Angeles in the spring of 2007.

The film will tell the story of a talented 15-year-old who qualifies for a $10 million poker tournament at a major Las Vegas hotel, and then convinces his mother to play in his stead. However, through a series of extraordinary circumstances, the teenager is allowed to compete at the final table against a slew of high profile poker pros.

The untitled project will be executive produced by Garry Marshall ("Frankie and Johnny," "Happy Days") and Hector Elizondo ("Pretty Woman," "Batman," "Beverly Hills Cop III") and will co-star Elizondo as "a casino manager with a heart."

The script will be written by Randy Feldman ("Tango and Cash") and Brad Neufeld, in association with poker players Mark and Lisa Tenner.
