Live WSOP Updates!Latest action from the tournament floor

Jamie Gold wins Main Event! 2 years ago ?

He had to survive a field of over 8,773 players to do it but Jamie Gold has won the Main Event. Both players limped pre-flop and the flop came Qc 8h 5h. Paul Wasicka bet out $1.5 million and Jamie Gold moved all-in. Wasicka thought for a long time while Gold looked antsy, pacing the floor and glancing at his opponent. As the tension grew in the Amazon Room, Wasicka eventually decided to call and flipped over 10h 10s. Gold immediately jumped up, pumping his fist in the air and looking euphoric as he flipped over Qs 9c for a pair of Queens. The turn came Ad and the river sealed the deal with the 4c, sending the huge crowd in the Amazon Room in to hysterics as Gold and Wasicka embraced for a long time at center stage.

Jamie Gold wins $12 million and is crowned the 2006 WSOP World Champion! Wasicka is eliminated second and wins $6,102,499. Stay tuned for reaction and analysis.
