The flop comes J 9 9 and Gold checks to Wasicka, who bets $1 million and gets called. The turn comes K and Gold bets out $1.6 million to be called by Wasicka. The river comes 6 and Gold bets $2 million. Wasicka calls and shows the 7 for the spade flush. Gold mucks and Wasicka takes the pot.

Hand 234: Gold limps in and Wasicka raises to $1.7 million. Gold calls and the flop comes K J 3. Wasicka bets $2 million and Gold moves all-in, prompting Wasicka to fold.

Hand 235: Wasicka raises to $1.2 million and is called by Gold. The flop comes 6 4 3 and Wasicka shoots out $1.5 million like a champ. Gold calls and the turn comes 7. Both players check to see the river, which comes out A. Gold fires out $2 million and Wasicka folds.

As heads-up play begins, Mike "The Mouth" Matusow is filling the air with profanity as he shouts encouragement from the gallery. Tournament organisers are professing themselves scandalized, while the other spectators are plainly delighted.

Third Place finisher Michael Binger just told reporters in a press conference that he will be back next year. He had this to say about this year's event: "It's a huge growing event that's really tiring but a lot of fun."

Paul Wasicka and Jamie Gold are guaranteed at least $6,102,499 as they prepare to go heads-up for the fanciest bracelet in WSOP history. Here are the chip counts for the final two players:

Binger Waves Goodbye

Hand 229: Michael Binger raises $1.5 million and both Jamie Gold and Paul Wasicka call and the flop comes 10 6 5. Binger bets $3.5 million and Gold moves all-in. Wasicka folds and Binger calls. Binger shows A 10 and Gold flips over 4 3. Gold will need a small miracle on the turn or river and he gets just that when 7 falls on the turn. The river is a meaningless Q and Binger is eliminated in third place. Binger earns $4,123,310.

Don't front on Paul Wasicka

Hand 228: Jamie Gold makes it $1 million to go from the small blind and Paul Wasicka checks from the big blind. The flop comes J 6 5 and Gold checks to Wasicka, who bets out another $1 million to be called by Gold. The turn comes Q and both players check to the river, which comes A. Gold checks again and Wasicka throws out $2 million to be called again by Gold, who shows J 8 for a pair of jacks, but who is defeated by Wasicka's A 5 for two pair.

Hand 222: From the big blind Paul Wasicka raises to $1,200,000 and Jamie Gold, who limped in from the small blind, folds this time around. Wasicka wins the pot.

Hand 223: Jamie Gold raises to $900,000 and Michael Binger raises the stakes by re-raising to $2,400,000. Gold isn't in the mood so he mucks and Binger wins a pot.

Hand 224: Michael Binger raises to $1,200,000 and Gold calls it. The flop brings 6 3 2. Binger bets $1,000,000. Again, Gold calls. The turn brings a Q and everybody checks. A K comes on the river and once more everybody checks. Michael Binger reveals 8 6 for the flush while Gold mucks.

Hand 225: Binger raises to $1,000,000 and Gold calls. The flop brings A 5 4 to which Gold checks. Binger bets $1,200,000 and Gold raises to $3,200,000. Binger has a bad feeling about this and so he folds giving Gold the pot.

Hand 226: From the button, Gold calls, Wasicka limps in and Michael Binger raises to $1,400,000. Gold mucks and Wasicka folds leaving Binger with the pot.

Hand 227: Gold wins the pot yet again with a pair of aces. One from the flop and one from his hand of A 3.

Hand 215: Paul Wasicka raises to $1.2 million and no one calls.

Hand 216: Jamie Golds limps in but folds when Paul Wasicka raises to $1.5 million.

Hand 217: Gold raises to $1 million. Michael Binger re-raises all-in and Gold folds.

Hand 211: Wasicka raises to $1.2 million and Michael Binger answers with a fold from the big blind.

Hand 212: Nobody wants to meet Jamie past the big blind.

Hand 213: Paul Wasicka raises from the big blind to $1.5 million after a limp-in from Gold on the small blind. Amazingly, Wasicka wins a pot from Gold.
