22-Year-Old Lucas Jumalon Wins the 2026 WSOP Main Event ($10M)

Jumalon led the final table from the first hand to the last. He defeated Lauri Saaskilahti in just 17 hands heads-up to become the 2026 WSOP Main Event champion. Here’s how the action unfolded.

Lucas Jumalon Defeats Lauri Saaskilahti in the 2026 WSOP Main Event Heads-Up

Jumalon entered heads-up with 109 BB, while Lauri Saaskilahti had 75 BB. The match lasted 17 hands.

The biggest pot came with an effective stack of 64.5 BB. After a preflop limp, the board ran out A K 4 J 6 . Saaskilahti check-called 1 BB, 10 BB, and 45 BB holding J 3 . He spent around five minutes on the river before making the call, but he was wrong: Jumalon had made a flush with Q 5 .

After that hand, Saaskilahti was left with 8.5 BB.

In the final hand, Saaskilahti got all the chips in with A 7 against Jumalon’s K 6 . A six hit the flop, and another six appeared on the turn.

In his post-match interview, Saaskilahti said that he and Jumalon had battled aggressively throughout Day 5 of the Main Event. He joked back then that it would be nice if the two of them met again in the heads-up — and that’s exactly what happened.

How the Action Unfolded at the 2026 WSOP Main Event Final Table

Evagoras Evagorou finished in 9th place, losing a coin flip: AQo > JJ against Jamie Shaevel for a 25 BB pot. An ace came on the flop.

Mario Boos finished in 8th place. After making a non-all-in shove with 88, Lauri Saaskilahti called from the big blind with K9o. The pot was 14.5 BB, and a nine came on the flop.

Jamie Shaevel finished in 7th place. Down to 5 BB, he made a non-all-in shove with K6s and moved all-in on a 743 flop, only to run into Lucas Jumalon’s KTo.

Rami Hammoud finished in 6th place. With 4 BB, he made a non-all-in shove holding QJo. Jumalon called with A5s.

Michael Gagliano finished in 4th place. He shoved 3 BB from the button with KQs. Greg Mueller called from the small blind with 44, and Lucas Jumalon three-bet with KJo, forcing Mueller to fold. The board ran out K85J7.

Greg Mueller finished in 3rd place. The effective stack was 13 BB. Saaskilahti limped from the small blind, and Mueller checked in the big blind. The board came 4AAJ3. Both players checked the flop. Saaskilahti bet 1 BB on the turn, Mueller called, and Saaskilahti shoved the river. Mueller called all-in with T4, while Saaskilahti revealed KK.
