Neil Blumenfield: 2015 WSOP November Nine Bio

San Francisco's Neil Blumenfield is one of the more unheralded players in the 2015 WSOP November Nine but with 22 million in chips will no doubt be a factor.

After lingering near the bottom of the counts for much of Day 7 Blumenfield dropped to under 3m in chips before climbing his way back up towards the top.

A double with kings against John Hinds' AK got him back up near 6m and a second double shortly after with AA against Hinds' tens pushed him back past 12m.

He was never in much danger from then on as he played to the final nine on the slower outer table.

Blumenfield eventually bagged 22,000,000 to head into November fourth in chips.

A regular in Reno and on the Heartland Poker Tour Blumenthal has a modest $130,468 in career live cashes but did win the 1st Annual State of Nevada championship back in 2008.

He finished 285th in the 2012 Main Event and cashed again this summer in the $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Seniors event.

The 61-year-old holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and works in the software industry. He's currently President and COO of Elastic Intelligence, Inc.
