If there's a poker pro in the November Nine that has the support of the majority of the professional poker world, it's Cliff Josephy.
A legendary backer along with Eric "Sheets" Haber," the man known as JohnnyBax literally put hundreds of poker players in the game thanks to the stable of horses they ran during the last half of the 2000s.
Now, it's his turn to taste tournament glory.
Not that Josephy hasn't already tasted plenty of success already. A two-time WSOP bracelet winner, in 2005 and 2013, Josephy was also at one point the #1 online poker player in the game - a crown he held for most of 2005/2006.
Now more of a live pro Josephy finds himself the chip leader of the most prestigious poker tournament in the world. At 49 years old he also represents a demographic not seen as much at final tables these days, especially in the WSOP Main Event.
Josephy was at or near the top of the counts for much of the final two days and will start the final table with 75,000,000 - over 150 big blinds.
More info: Formerly worked on Wall Street. Started playing poker online in 2003 after he saw his Dad playing online. His 2005 $1,500 Seven-Card Stud win was his first-ever live Stud tournament. $4m career winner online; was #1 ranked online poker player in 2005. Josephy also backed 2009 WSOP champ Joe Cada for his win.
