Matt Jarvis: 2010 WSOP November Nine
Created By: PokerListings Posted in: WSOP Blog, Tournament TrailMatthew Jarvis came to Las Vegas from Surrey, British Columbia. One of two Canadians to make the November Nine, Jarvis started playing poker over six years ago through friends, books and self-described trial and error. Although his poker experience is mostly in the online tournament arena he's having no trouble adjusting to the live game.
Jarvis is right in the thick of things with 16,700,000.
Jarvis was born in 1984 in Richmond, BC just a short distance from his current residence.
Making the November Nine is his biggest dream and he told PokerListings.com that every time he's picked up a heads-up penny, or made a wish, it's been to make the WSOP Main Event final table.
Jarvis knows a thing or two about performing under pressure and in front of television cameras. His father was a pro golfer and Matt caddied for him on the Seniors PGA tour.
Jarvis has his girlfriend, sister and a group of close friends here with him and he's looking to them to help him stay calm and collected going into the biggest final table of his life.
