The poker player who wins the 2013 WSOPE Main Event will become a millionaire, if he or she isn't already.
Registration officially closed on the main evnt after the first level of play on Day 2 today.
A total of 375 players paid the €10,450 buy-in to build a €3,600,000 prizepool with €1,000,000 dedicated to first place.
While attendance is down from last year in Cannes (which drew 420 players), the WSOPE ME remains one of the most elite tournaments of the year with huge names Phil Hellmuth, Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey taking part.
Negreanu Looks to Cash in All Three Main Events
Hellmuth is the reigning WSOPE champion while Negreanu is looking to become the only player to cash in all three WSOP Main Events this year (Negreanu won the WSOP APAC Main Event and cashed in the Main Event in Las Vegas).
There have already been six gold bracelets awarded in Enghien-les-Bains with Jackie Glazier, Henrik Johansson, Darko Stojanovic, Roger Hairabedian and Noah Schwartz taking down titles.
The final event of the series is the €25,600 High Roller which begins tomorrow.
