We reached the last 24 players in this flight. Players busted rapidly after each other this level, with 23 minutes left on the clock to play. How much more will not last the day?
We arrived at table #31 and saw that Oskar Wedde was tangling with the ultimate chip leader of the tournament so far, Yohuda Yosef. On a King high board, Wedde opened the action on the turn, which Yosef called. On the river Yosef bet out 25,000 in a pot of a size of around 40,000, which Wedde instantly called. Wedde showed [Kx][7x] for two pair eventually as the river gave the [7x]. Yosef showed top-pair with [Kx][2x].
In the morning, Coolbet had arranged an hospitality event, which turned out to be Wakeboarding. Oskar Wedde was also present, and was the first one to actually keep himself in balance on a Wakeboard.
We are through to the 13th level of the day at the Main Event Day 1c, which means that the late registration has officially been closed for this flight. We are having 39 players left in the competition, who all will try to find a bag in about 1,5 hour from now.
On today’s livestream of Coolbet, the Finals of the Nations Cup are being played out to a winner. This Sit ‘N Go, where 9 players out of every region of Coolbet is participating in, has a prize pool of €20,000. It will be divided over the top 3 places.

The Main Event turbo opening flight of today, day 1d, has started with 19 players. We will keep our focus on flight 1c, but for sure will mention the eventual chip counts in the end.
Players on table #31 are having a ball at the moment. Many players have stacks above de 100,000 chip mark, which means they can gather even more chips towards the end of the registration period. Three of those players are from Israel.
All below players are in the top of the current chip counts. There are two more levels of 45 minutes left to play, until the registration will close. After that, there are another two more levels to be played. Remaining players will advance to Day 2 of the Coolbet Open here in Bratislava.
Yesterday we already saw Yehuda Yosef playing the Main Event Day 1a. Despite he had build himself a great stack, he did not manage to take it with him over the finish line. He busted out in 25th place, while 15 players advanced to Day 2.
Today at Day 1c, he managed to gather again 5+ starting stacks for himself, and can find himself back in the top of the chip counts:
Let’s pick out a player from the Main Event and try to find all the poker statistics of the player. We will highlight Alexandru Budai from Romania.
Alexandru has got over $100,000 in live career earnings following TheHendonMob (world’s biggest poker search engine). His best live poker cash was $55,603 which he scored back in March from this year in Bratislava, not bad for a $300 buy-in. He topped a field of 1,088 players, so he experienced to win a sized Main Event before.
When looking further in his records, we can find that the buy-ins all remain in the same range. However, what people tend to forget is that these scores are ‘only scores’. It doesn’t mention how many attempts were needed for this. What we do find interesting is that he just started to have his cashes from 2021 onwards, implying that he only started playing from around that period. To have $100,000 in cashes behind your name within 3 playing years, is quite impressive nowadays still.
The location of the cashes only happened in the Eastern side of Europe, which is again quite logical when you live in Romania.
Currently, he unfortunately busted in the Main Event 1c, but we are quite positive he will return to fire another bullet in perhaps the turbo flight which starts at 21:00 CET.
Yesterday we had seen a few situations where the floormanager was asked for his judgement. Many cases on the poker tables can easily be avoided, just by reading the full rules of the game of poker. Players often think they stand above the law when it comes to making decisions. But do we actually know all the in’s and out’s of it?
We just got informed that Jan Arthur Svendsen, the founder of the brand Coolbet, was sitting at the tables here at Day 1c of the Main Event. By all means, literally on the same moment, we saw him leaving the room as he busted out of the tournament.
Are we going to rise above the 200 entries today for Day 1c? Who knows, we at least think this is very likely! Plenty of side events are scheduled, but people want to have found a bag in the Main Event early. First things first.
Welcome for another day in sunny Bratislava. Fresh and well back from (an attempt to) Wakeboarding with Coolbet, we are back in the casino for some great piece of poker action! There are many tournaments planned for today, of which logically the Main Event Day 1c and 1d are the ones which we are going to keep an eye on for the rest of the day. Already 105 entries so far for Day 1c, which will just enter now Level 3. Sensational!
When looking through the entry list, we can see also today that there are a horde of poker players from Israel trying to find a bag at the end of the day.
