About GGPoker
GGPoker is an online poker room founded in April 2017 and based on the Isle of Man. The online poker room initially focussed heavily on the Asian market and was successful in building a significant player base. Starting 2019 GGPoker experienced a major upswing when Daniel Negreanu was signed up as a brand ambassador. In 2020, Bertrand “ElkY” Grospellier, Fedor Holz and Jason Koon followed as well-known GGPoker Pros. Meanwhile the number of players on the site increased significantly.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 saw the first staging of the World Series of Poker Online, with 54 bracelets being played on GGPoker. During this tournament series, the poker room set a new world record for the largest online poker tournament at the Main Event with a prize pool of over $27.5 million, which it still holds to this day.
