High-stakes tournament regular Aleks «Avr0ra» Borovkov started the final 9-max table as the chip leader and held the top stack for a long time. Here’s how the action unfolded, along with some interesting facts about the final table.

Aleks «Avr0ra» Borovkov Won the GGMillion$ for the Second Time

At the beginning of the final table, Borovkov went into sit-out several times because of a poor internet connection, but that didn’t stop him from maintaining the chip lead.

Danilo Velasevic finished 9th after losing a flip with AKs vs. KQs to Arsenii Malinov for a 43 BB pot. The board ran out TQ2K9 «rainbow».

GGMillion$ final table debutant and 2023 $25K PSPC champion Aliaksandr «Clarity» Shylko finished 8th. Duco Haven opened from the SB with 10 6 , and Shylko defended his BB with a 23 BB stack. The board ran out 10 7 K A 10 . The flop and turn went check-check. On the river, Shylko bet pot and Haven shoved. Shylko thought for two minutes before calling with Q J .

Arunas Sapitavicius finished 7th after losing a 16 BB all-in with A3o vs. Borovkov’s K6s. A king appeared on the flop.

Duco Haven finished 6th after losing a 35 BB all-in with KQs vs. Borovkov’s AKo.

Borovkov was still the chip leader when the tournament reached 5-max. But first, he lost a QQ vs. AJo all-in to Vyacheslav Larin and dropped to second-shortest. He then recovered some chips by winning an A4s vs. 99 all-in against Larin, bringing his stack back up to 37 BB.

The players kept trading flips until Vyacheslav Larin eliminated three opponents in just four hands.

5th — Artem Osmirko, AQs > TT, 38 BB pot, ace on the flop.

4th — Arsenii Malinov, QJs > JJ, 39 BB pot, queen on the flop and another queen on the turn.

3rd — «Tsintao», A7o > A5o, 27 BB pot, seven on the flop. By the way, Tsintao had $0 in previous GGPoker cashes before this tournament. He qualified through a $1K satellite.

Borovkov entered heads-up play with 19.6 BB against Vyacheslav Larin’s 82 BB. They played for about an hour. Borovkov connected with the boards better and won pot after pot without any all-ins. In the final hand, Larin got it in with A6o against A8s for a 38 BB pot. An eight appeared on the turn.
