Red Kings Poker tournaments to exceed $10 million
This week will see the Red Kings Poker winter schedule kick off with big-money buy-ins and weekly freerolls that cater to poker players of all levels. It will also see the poker site break the $10 million barrier for tournaments in December.
Helping to reach that mark is the $500,000 Grand Tournament on the holiday weekend plus added money buy-ins and freeroll satellites on both Christmas and New Year's Day.
New additions to the tournament schedule that will help propel the site over the $10 million mark are the $110,000 Guaranteed Winter Special Freezeout and the $150,000 Guaranteed Freezeout.
The $110,000 event will run Dec. 18, and the $150,000 event will run Dec. 23.
There will also be smaller buy-ins and freerolls running every day that will help build up the total guaranteed prize pool for the month to over $10 million for the first time.
December isn't the only month that Red Kings Poker plans to up its generosity either. The New Year will also bring more opportunities for poker players.
A special freeroll on New Year's Day will introduce the 2008 "Play Big" campaign, designed to give all Red Kings Poker players the opportunity for big tournament wins without shelling out the buy-ins themselves.
"It's every poker player's dream to do well in a big-money tournament," said a Red Kings Poker spokesperson. "Most of us watch these games and think we could easily finish in the money. Well, we are going to give Red Kings players the opportunity to find out if they can really go the distance. Our 'Play Big' campaign will hopefully lead to discovering some hot new big-tournament talent in 2008."
Along with the New Year's Day freeroll, the "Play Big" promotion will also continue, with a 10-ticket giveaway to the $150,000 Freezeout on Jan. 6.
