In March 2026, Jorge Abreu won the €5K Main Event at EPT Paris and took home €1,148,600. He won the title outright, without a deal, dominating all his opponents at the final table. The poker gods continue to smile on Abreu, this time online. However, there was no domination at the GGMillion$ final table.
“Like a Roller Coaster”: How Jorge Abreu Won GGMillion$
He started with the second-largest stack. In 6-max, he became the shortest stack with 14 BB.
First, Abreu doubled up with QJs against Andreas Christoforou’s ATo in a 28 BB pot, hitting a queen on the river.

In 5th place, he eliminated Ravid Garbi: KQs > AJo in a 20 BB pot.
In 4-max, Abreu again became the shortest stack with 13 BB and doubled up: KK > Chris Vogelsang’s AJs.

In 3-max, Abreu was once again one card away from elimination, getting it in with AJs against Kramer’s 66 in a 44 BB pot. An ace came on the river.
In 3rd place, Abreu eliminated Andreas Christoforou. First, the Cypriot gave up more than half his stack to Kramer after Kramer pulled off a great bluff.

Then Christoforou handed his remaining chips to Abreu.

Abreu entered heads-up with 53 BB, while Kramer had 61 BB. Kramer had started the final table as the chip leader, with Abreu in second.
At one point, the Portuguese poker pro’s stack dropped to 9 BB. Abreu successfully bluffed his opponent a couple of times and built his stack back up.
In the final hand, Kramer went for a hero call on the river but got it wrong.
