Bodog Entertainment, creator of Bodog Poker, is branching into another part of the entertainment industry. It recently announced a deal to release a graphic novel that will debut in 2008.

The novel will be created by Adam Slutsky, Shawn Martinbrough and Joseph Phillip Illidge and will detail the exploits of a group of secret agents called the "Ayre Force."

The agents of the "Ayre Force" will be from the realms of poker, mixed martial arts and music - all industries that Bodog Entertainment has branched into. Leading the team will be the "globe-trotting mastermind," Calvin Ayre.

"When Adam first presented the idea, we were excited by its uniqueness and fit with the Bodog brand," said Ayre, Bodog Entertainment founder.

"As we developed the concept with him, it's taken on its own life and will be a fantastic addition to the Bodog Entertainment family, both as a graphic novel and in other formats to come. Plus, I've always wanted to be a comic book hero. Who hasn't?"

Some of the other stars making the novel based on the Bodog Universe will be poker pros Evelyn Ng, David Williams and Josh Arieh, who are all part of the Bodog Poker team. From the music realm will be Bif Naked, Jason Darr from Neurosonic and Nazanin.

Adding even more punch to the team will be Bodog Fighters Yves Edwards, Tara Larosa and Trevor Prangley.

"[Ayre Force's] first adventure will be a worldwide challenge between good and evil hinging upon the fate of bears that are tortured in the name of traditional Chinese medicines," said Bodog Entertainment in a press release.

Poker players who are looking for a little adventure of their own still have a chance to win their way to the World Series of Poker Europe through Bodog Poker as well.

The final qualifier runs Sunday with two main event semifinals taking place at 3:05 p.m. (EDT) and 3:05 (GMT). Six VIP prize packages that include the £10,000 main event buy-in plus airfare, accommodations, car service and spending money will be given away.

Direct buy-in for $540 for the semifinals is available for 150 players. Otherwise, players will have to win their way into the events through qualifiers. According to Bodog Poker, there are plenty of qualifiers for as little as $1 to make your way up into the semifinals.
