The Piece of Taylor promotion will award 1% of the Full Tilt pro's earnings at the final table to one lucky player who registers for CardRunners' Truly Free Poker Training.

"When Full Tilt did the Piece of Ivey I thought it was a really cool promotion," explained Caby. "I actually wanted to play but as a red pro I was ineligible. We thought this would be a good time to run that kind of promotion again."

Caby will be competing against Luke "FullFlush" Schwartz, Dag Mikkelsen, Juha Helppi, Peter Vasilou, James Akenhead and an online qualifier at the final table Dec. 4 with a first-place prize of $500,000 on the line.

"I've played with Juha Helppi and some of the other guys and I know about FullFlush so I feel pretty good," he said. "It's a shallow structure, but at least there are no antes in the beginning."

Even if Caby busts first, the promotion winner will receive $500, but if CardRunners' instructor takes it down, the prize will swell to $5,000.

When asked if he was feeling any extra pressure over the Piece of Taylor promotion, Caby was quick to dismiss the notion.

"I don't think so," he laughed. "This is by far my biggest live tournament cash, so I'm probably putting more pressure on myself just to perform well. I'd really like to ship some money to a CardRunners player though."

Caby, who built a reputation online with the username Green Plastic, started playing poker professionally in 2003 and quickly progressed from a Sit & Go tournaments to high stakes cash games.

In 2005, Caby, along with fellow poker pro Andrew Wiggins, founded the poker training site CardRunners, which now has over 9,000 monthly subscribers.

Visit PokerListings.com

durrrr takes $750k from George to wrap challenge

After losing just $22,500 to Marcello "luckexpress" Marigliano in the first match, and beating Ilari "Ziigmund" Sahamies by a slim $68,000 in the second, Dwan took a whopping $750,000 off George in the final match of three at London's Les Ambassadeurs club.

The game was No-Limit Hold'em with a $250,000 buy-in and Dwan dominated from the outset, forcing George to rebuy when his aces held against the Londoner's big slick.

He then pushed George off two pair with a massive $400,000 all-in bet into a more than $130k pot holding nothing but seven-deuce.

The board read A J 6 3 with George holding A 6 to Dwan's 7 2.

After George checked, Dwan led out. George called and when the 3 fell on the river, Dwan simply pushed all in.

The two had a $10,000 seven-deuce prop-bet going, meaning anyone who won a pot and showed seven-deuce would get paid.

As a result, when George couldn't make the call after five minutes in the tank, durrrr showed the bluff.

To be fair, Dwan admitted he would have folded as well.

"I am bluffing with any hand I get to the river with that isn't a pair or better, but it's so rare that I get to the river without a pair, so his fold is pretty reasonable and I would make the same fold just about every time," he explained after the match.

"Once Sammy checked the turn I had to bet in my mind as I thought I was going to win a lot of the time. On the river I might have given up, but on the board-pairing river I think it was an easy shove, as it's so believable that I have a full-house there and Sammy has a tough call with any hand.

"He rarely has a full house and it's likely he just has aces or something like that, so I really like my shove on the river and fortunately Sammy didn't make the hero call. It would have been an absurd call and luckily for me he didn't make it. I was pretty worried for a while that he was going to make it but thankfully it worked out."

George said he almost made the call, but couldn't pull the trigger.

"He either had the nuts or nothing and I was so close to calling," he said. "But you can't in that situation. If I'd called and he has the nut-flush I'm an idiot, if I call and he has air, I'm a hero."

George called the hand a turning point in the match and Dwan's domination continued after as George was forced to rebuy again, finally tapping the mat when he went broke just before the allotted 500 hands were through.

Gracious in victory, Dwan said the cards simply fell his way all night.

"I don't think I played too well today, I just think I happened to get a bunch of hands, like I don't think Sammy played badly, he just happened to be on the wrong side of some tough spots," he said. "It's easy to look like a genius when you have the best hand every time, and easy to not look like one when you get beat every hand."

Matchroom Sports' Eddie Hearn labeled the challenge a success and said there are plans to do it all over again on the other side of the pond in 2010.

"The last three days has been a rollercoaster of swings and emotions at the Full Tilt Poker Durrrr Million Dollar Challenge," said Hearn. "All-in-all, the event was a huge success and we are already in talks to take the challenge to the States early next year."

Visit PokerListings.com

PPA asks players to Tweet for Poker

The PPA launched "Tweet for Poker" yesterday and online poker supporters can go to the website, sign in and make an appeal for online poker to their Congressional representative in about 30 seconds.

"Poker players are online, they're active, and they're weighing in on the policy battles that impact their right to play," said PPA executive director John Pappas.

"Tweet for Poker is PPA's most instant and dynamic tool for our members to directly contact legislators in a way that engages the public in debate. We're proud of the instant success, and look forward to hearing what our elected officials think of the legislation and this new advocacy program."

The Tweets will support either Sen. Robert Menendez' pro-online poker bill in the Senate or Rep. Barney Frank's poker bill in the House. Users have the option of choosing whether they want Tweets sent to their respective Senator or House Representative.

The Twitter-based campaign is just the latest initiative the PPA has started with the intent of legalizing online poker.

This summer the PPA launched National Poker Week and collected over 375,000 signatures on a petition to President Obama asking for licensing and regulation of online poker.

Visit PokerListings.com

WPT and PartyPoker begin fight for poker supremacy

"That's our stated aim," PartyGaming's chief marketing officer Chris Welch told PokerListings. "And until that time we will leverage both the World Poker Tour and PartyPoker as best we can to take that challenge to our competitors."

Before the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) was signed into U.S. law in October 2006 and PartyPoker effectively pulled out of the U.S. market, it was the number one site in poker.

Since that time, PokerStars has emerged as the industry leader with more than 28 million players worldwide.

A major catalyst for PokerStars' growth has been the emergence of the European Poker Tour. While the WPT has always been credited with helping spur on poker's boom, it has since been surpassed by the PokerStars EPT, which boasted a total prize pool in excess of $55 million over 11 events last season, making it the largest poker tour in the world.

However, Welch says PartyGaming subsidiary Peerless Media Ltd's $12.3 million purchase of the WPT, approved by shareholders earlier this month, now has the organization primed to compete in Europe and across the globe.

"We think there is certainly room for two big tours in Europe," said Welch. "And the World Poker Tour, we believe, is a global brand while the European Poker Tour exists only in Europe."

Particularly in Italy and France, the WPT plans on embarking upon an aggressive growth strategy to begin competing with the EPT.

"We're looking forward to more global expansion, more International expansion," added newly appointed WPT president Adam Pliska.

Welch said part of that expansion will include offering more online satellites into WPT events worldwide.

"It's a great opportunity to offer our European players more tournaments and land based events and of course we are going to run satellites on PartyPoker," Welch said. "But we are also going to encourage other online sites to do the same."

While sites other than PokerStars once ran satellites for EPT events, many stopped after PokerStars forced its competitors to use the site's branding.

Welch says the WPT and PartyPoker will be taking a different approach.

"PokerStars have gone down the route of it being the PokerStars EPT and you've got to have that on your site to run satellites or freerolls," he explained. "That's not our strategy. Our strategy initially will be that it's the World Poker Tour and you can come and qualify from any online site or direct buy in.

"What they are trying to do is leverage their brand. They have the biggest tour in Europe and they are trying to get other people to mention their brand name. We have an opportunity here to grow the World Poker Tour by offering other online sites a chance to get in there without necessarily mentioning PartyPoker and that's what we are going to do."

But the battle for online poker supremacy will not just be fought on European soil.

In April of this year, PartyGaming entered into a $105 million settlement with the U.S. Attorney's Office to avoid prosecution for providing Internet gambling services to U.S. customers prior to the enactment of the UIGEA.

Under the terms of the agreement, PartyGaming agreed to stay out of the U.S. Internet gambling market under current legislation and is hoping, should the legislation change, it would be in a prime position to move back in.

Welch said the purchase of the WPT is yet another way PartyGaming is paving its road back into the United States.

"Should the United States open up, it's going to put us in a preeminent position, way ahead of the competition," he said. "We've taken the long view while some of the other players have taken the short view, and should the United States open up, we are going back to being number one again."

However, until U.S. Lawmakers get on board, Welch said the front lines of this fight will remain on the other side of the Atlantic.

"This provides us with a massive platform to bring PartyPoker back into the hands of millions of Americans," he said. "But in Europe, we can do that from day one."

The public face of both brands, 2009 Poker Hall of Fame inductee Mike Sexton, believes with PartyPoker and the WPT coming together, the sky is the limit.

"I think it can be a huge entity and a worldwide brand," he said. "Hopefully when online gaming becomes legalized in the United States, PartyPoker can come in and retain its status as the number one poker site in the world."

Visit PokerListings.com

Isildur1 claims another million dollar victim

The matchup between Ziigmund and Isildur1 started brewing after the second day of the Isildur1 versus Tom "durrrr" Dwan battle, with Isildur1 asking for help getting into contact with durrrr and telling Ziigmund an Omaha match between the two would have to wait.

Although the two players crossed paths on various high-stakes table across Full Tilt, they had never sat for a lengthy heads-up session until last night.

As you would imagine, the $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em match was a landslide of massive pots.

In fact, the top 25 pots alone add up to almost $10 million wagered.

After 2,217 hands, the Scandinavian battle came to a head with Isildur1 proving his mettle once more, beating Sahamies out of $1 million.

This latest million dollar win puts Isildur1 back to almost $4 million in profits on the year, as Sahamies name is added to the growing list of world class players to be absolutely destroyed by the still unknown Swede.

At this point, Isildur1 has proven to be far more of a formidable opponent than anyone gave him credit for when he first showed up on the scene this past September.

One of the only regular high-stakes players left who hasn't suffered a million dollar loss to Isildur1 is poker god Phil Ivey, who actually beat the Swede out of $800k two days ago.

Below you can see the three largest pots of the heads up session.

The two traded pots for the better part of 12 hours before Dwan took the lead late and held on to defeat Sahamies by a slim $68,000.

The game was Pot-Limit Omaha and the match began at the Les Ambassadeurs club in London with both players buying in for $250,000.

The pace was notably faster than the first match, where Italian Marcello "luckexpress" Marigliano edged out Dwan by a mere $22,500.

Making lightning fast decisions as if they were playing online, Dwan and Sahamies were averaging 50 hands per hour right from the outset.

Sahamies took an early lead forcing Dwan to reload an additional $250,000 in just the second hour of play, but Dwan fought back.

Down close to $350,000 before pushing all in with middle pair and a flush draw against Sahamies aces, Dwan turned trips to get back in the match.

The two could be found playing Chinese Poker for $5,000 a point through every break, while in the meantime, durrrr drew even on the challenge felt, forcing ziigmund to add another $250,000 to his stack.

Dwan took the lead flopping trips and turning a full house against Sahamies kings, but Sahamies struck back soon after, hitting a miracle river card when Dwan had flopped trips again.

Dwan tied things up flopping a set of fives and then took a slight lead getting paid off after rivering two pair against Sahamies aces.

The lead changed hands yet again, but in just the final few hands of the night, both players flopped trip kings and durrrr turned a full house to drag a sizable pot and end the match up $68,000.

The third and final match in the Full Tilt durrrr Million Dollar Challenge presented by Matchroom Sport is already underway in London with Dwan playing No-Limit Hold'em against Sammy George.

Visit PokerListings.com

Isildur1 takes on Team Full Tilt

Isildur1 started the night at $200/$400 Pot-Limit Omaha where he lost $373k to Cole South in just 884 hands. The two players then upped the limits to $300/$600 where Isildur1 laid the boot to South to the tune of $888k.

South left the tables down $505k, leaving Isildur1 free to find his next opponents.

First, he found Tom Dwan. After an hour and a half of a virtual deadlock, Isildur1 decided to add more players into the mix.

Exclusively at $500/$1,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em, Isildur1 chose to play Dwan, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius, all at the same time.

Dwan played the most hands against Isildur1 out of the three Team Full Tilt players, but in the end finished down $14k.

Ivey, the second player to be added into the mix, stuck around for almost one thousand hands, more than enough time to take $800k from the unknown Swede.

Antonius, who joined the action almost immediately after Ivey, lasted just 433 hands, losing over $253k.

When the Hold'em action dried up, Dwan and Isildur1 moved to $500/$1,000 PLO for a lengthy 2,338 hand session. Isildur1 got the best of Dwan once again, this time for $230k.

If it wasn't for a $562k win through Brian Townsend earlier in the night, Dwan would have booked yet another losing session at the hands of Isildur1. With the Townsend profit added to his totals, Dwan left the night having won $319k.

With Ivey's beating offsetting the profit he made from the rest of the Full Tilt pros, Isildur1 finished his session $80k up.

Below are replays of yesterday's three largest pots, head to MarketPulse to see more.

Dominated.

durrrrminated.

The action here confuses me.

Visit PokerListings.com

Dwan dumps first match in live durrrr challenge

The players bought in for $250,000 each and after 12 hours of play at the Les Ambassadeurs club, Marigliano was up $22,500.

"In the end I won a small amount, but I'm happy though, as I won with bluffs," said Marcello. "He raised a lot pre-flop and you have to play tight, but I made some good moves and I'm happy I proved I can play with Tom."

It was a back and forth affair featuring 11 hours of No-Limit Hold'em followed up by an hour of Pot-Limit Omaha with both players down over $100,000 on more than one occasion.

In the end, durrrr won 55% of the pots, but several key hands and larger pots went the Italian's way.

Marcello first moved ahead in the match bluffing the newly minted Team Full Tilt Pro off of a $100k pot with king-high.

Dwan reloaded and chipped away until he was $100k up, but Marcello struck back hard flopping a full house to get even and taking the lead with a flush over flush hand.

The players switched to PLO in the final hour of play and although durrrr came back, he couldn't get all the way there before 500 hands and 12 hours were through.

"It was a really aggressive match," said Dwan. "It's so crazy that at the end there was just a 25k difference - that's absurd. It's so unlikely that one of us didn't lose 500k.

"I was up 150k at one or two points and down 200k - but it still wasn't as swingy as I thought it would be. We didn't have many big hand versus big hand spots, or even medium hand versus medium hand spots. I expect there to be more action in the matches with ziigmund and Sammy George."

The durrrr versus Ilari "ziigmund" Sahamies match is already underway in London and the Full Tilt durrrr Million Dollar Challenge presented by Matchroom Sport will end with Dwan playing George Thursday.

Visit PokerListings.com

The poker room will henceforth be known as UB, a nickname originally coined by players on the site.

Company directors said the UB label better represented the site's current focus on the next generation of poker players.

"The launch of UB.com represents a turning point for our company," said Paul Legget, Tokwiro's Chief Operating Officer.

"We have assembled a great group of professionals who are passionate about poker to build the UB brand. Our goal is to create products and services that poker players really want."

The new site features a streamlined interface, a user-friendly lobby, improved game filters and new UB branding.

In addition, the tournament schedule has been revamped and there are over 30 new tournaments a month, which offer over $1 million in guarantees.

"In the 10 years since I have been involved with the UB brand, I have never been prouder to represent the company as much as I am right now," said UB Pro Phil Hellmuth.

"We have great people captaining the ship, we have a great vibe and some serious swagger. I look forward to the day when we are the largest poker site on the planet."

Earlier this year the CEREUS poker network, to which UB belongs, also released a Mac poker client and a software upgrade that featured synchronized tournament breaks.

UB also enhanced their team of poker pros by adding PokerRoad president Joe Sebok and resigning reality TV star Tiffany Michelle.

Although UB now offers the UB.com domain, users will still be able to access the site through the older UltimateBet.com.

Visit PokerListings.com

The bwin Poker Clock offers a simple interface for organizing private tournaments without the need for a computer or the Internet.

The software features a "Quick Mode", which allows users to run a tournament right away, or the more advanced "Expert Mode" where users can refine their experience by manually tweaking the blind structure, payouts and number of rebuys permitted.

"Setting up poker tournaments should be easy and fun, just like the iPhone," said Carl Klingberg, managing director of bwin Games AB. "We will continue to keep our sights set on bringing the most user-friendly applications to the mobile world for whatever platform people are using."

It's not the first time that bwin has moved into the mobile poker industry.
Antonius wins $2.4 million and takes back the lead

Isildur1, who was briefly the year's top money earner, proved once again that he's not afraid of a little action.

After taking nearly $800k off of Antonius two days ago, Isildur1 tried for a repeat performance, but ran out of run-good along the way.

The two players took their seats on four $500/$1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha tables on Full Tilt, starting the game anywhere from 200 to 400 BB deep.

The session lasted for almost nine hours, playing 2,092 hands across the four tables. Unfortunately for Isildur1, Antonius left all four PLO tables in the black with his gross profit totalling over $2.13 million.

For close to five hours in the middle of the session, the two also added a couple of $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tables into the mix.

Isildur1 suffered crushing defeat on these tables as well, losing another $275k to bring Antonius's single-session profits up to a whopping $2.4 million.

This huge session not only saw the largest online pot ever played, worth $878,959, but it had six pots worth over $500k, and another six over $400k.

Last night's results have dropped Isildur1 down to around $3 million in total online profits for the year, while Antonius has busted his way back to the top of the profit list with over $7.3 million.

Below you can watch replays of the three largest pots of the night, including the largest pot ever played online.
Keikoan takes Tahoe title

The 41-year old outlasted a field of 64 players and a pro heavy final table to take the WSOPC title and its $110,346 first-place prize at Harvey's Lake Tahoe just before 3 a.m.

"I'm excited, but I'm very tired," said Keikoan. "This comes at a good time for me."

After a day and a half play down to the final nine, fellow 2008 bracelet winner David Woo actually came into the final table with the chip lead, but bowed out seventh when online pro "Bodog" Ari Engel managed to suck out on him.

Engel, who already owns two WSOP circuit rings from Atlantic City prelims, had taken to three-bet shoving almost every time Woo raised and when Woo finally caught him, calling with queens against Engel's ace-nine, Engel rivered an ace anyway.

One of the hottest players in poker, following a deep run in the 2009 WSOP Main Event and a win at WPT Festa al Lago in Las Vegas less than one month ago, Tommy Vedes flirted with the chip lead for most of the two-day tournament.

However, he could get further than fifth after 68-year-old John Goodger called all in against him with K Q claiming he just wanted to go to bed, but managing to suck out a flush against Vedes' A J.

A suddenly short stacked Vedes was out soon after.

Engel's loose-aggressive style eventually caught up with him when he ran eights in to Keikoan's queens to hand him the chip lead.

He busted not long after handing the rest of his stack to Keikoan when he shoved with king-eight and missed against Keikoan's pocket fives.

"With him you sort of have to have a hand because he was pushing a lot," said Keikoan. "Queens against him, that's like having aces. You are never ever folding to him with queens.

"Even the fives, I'm raising the button, I know he's shoving a lot of hands so I have to call with fives there."

Goodger eventually got his wish, getting sent to bed in third place when he got it all in with top pair against Keikoan's bottom two and failed to improve.

Keikoan then went into heads up with 33-year-old Sacramento Police officer Justin Hallstrom holding an almost 5:1 chip lead and made short work of the amateur to grab the WSOPC title.

"I've been coming up here my whole life, I'm comfortable here," added Keikoan. "I grew up two hours from here so I feel good here.

"I'll be back here next year for sure."

Visit PokerListings.com

Antonius takes biggest pot in online poker history

At a whopping $878,959, the pot totally crushed the old record of $723,000 set by Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Di "Urindanger" Dang in October 2008.

The game was $500/$1,000 heads-up Pot-Limit Omaha and both players sat with over $400,000 on the table.

Nothing extraordinary happened pre-flop or post, but when the A came on the turn the action went nuts with both players raising until all the money - $878,959 - was in the pot.

When the money went in, Antonius and Isildur1 both had aces up, but both also held the chance to hit cards on the river to scoop the insanely large pot.

PokerListings' odds calculator shows it was a 62.5% chance for a split pot when the money went in.

Thanks to his flush draw and gutshot straight draw, Antonius had a 25% chance to win, while Isildur1 had just a 12.5% chance with his seperate gutshot draw and a shot at a non-heart king for a higher two-pair.

In the end, the 8 river came down giving Antonius his gutshot and the outrageous pot.

At press time, the heads-up session was still ongoing, but thanks to the record-breaking pot Antonius was up over $2.5 million on Isildur1 in a battle between online poker's two biggest winners so far this year.

You can see how it all played out in our hand replayer below:

Interesting river card indeed.

Visit PokerListings.com

Huge fields, poker pros dominate big online Sunday

The huge fields weren't a problem for noted poker pros Marc Karam, Chris "Genius28" Lee, Gary Jones, Christina Lindley and Adam Junglen, who all booked massive scores.

On Full Tilt there were a total of four FTOPS XIV titles awarded as the series drew to a close. All four events featured a notable pro at the final table.

Poker commentator and Full Tilt Pro Gary Jones made the final table of the two-day $2,500+$120 Hold'em event, but was eventually ousted in fourth for $193,462. Online player obiedman went on to win the tournament for $539,350, the biggest payout of FTOPS XIV.

In the meantime, Lee, or Genius28, outlasted 1,166 players to take down the FTOPS XIV $109 PLO rebuy event for $93,302.

Elsewhere, Lindley was a force to be reckoned with in the $129 NL Hold'em Knockout event. The Maxim model made it all the way to heads-up before she was beaten by little chief17.

Fortunately for Lindley, there was a deal made three-handed that saw her guaranteed at least $100,000 and when all was done and said, Lindley won $106,460 for her second place finish. Little chief17 received $125,959 for winning the event.

The $535 FTOPS XIV main event would draw 5,471 runners, enough to make it the biggest FTOPS final of all time.

Of all the recognizable pros who entered it was Poker VT instructor Junglen who had the most impressive run.

Junglen outlasted 5,469 players before finally busting in third place for $290,418. Online player zhivago2 went on to win the record-setting event for $418,839.

Over on PokerStars, tournament organizers were celebrating having handing out $250 million in prize money over the site's history by upping the usual $1.5 million guarantee for the Sunday Million by $1 million.

The move paid off as a record-breaking 18,283 players bought in to create a prize pool of $3.6 million.

There were no big name pros at the final table as Canadian Zadman5311 took down first place for $282,662 following a six-way deal.

Meanwhile, as the entire poker world was sat railing the massive Sunday Million, EPT3 grand final runner-up Marc Karam, who plays online as mysterio6044, had his way with the PokerStars Sunday 500.

The Canadian pro outlasted all 1,228 entrants to secure the first place prize of $102,568.

Visit PokerListings.com

Isildur1 moves to the top of the list

But the most remarkable thing about Isildur1's performance is that he showed up playing high-stakes for the first time just two months ago.

In that time, the player who most suspect is Viktor "Blom90" Blom has destroyed almost every player he's faced, including Tom "durrrr" Dwan and the previous profit leader, Patrik Antonius.

Yesterday's action on Full Tilt saw Isildur1 focus the majority of his time playing David Benyamine and Antonius at $300/$600 Pot-Limit Omaha. When Antonius and Benyamine had both had enough, Isildur1 moved on to new games having already made over $1.2 million on the night.

Benyamine didn't return, eating his $769k loss, while Antonius returned to the tables to face Isildur1 and Dwan. After grinding back almost $200k, he ended his night with a $579k loss.

Dwan managed to finally hold one over on Isildur1 making close to $350k on the $300/$600 PLO table, but lost back the majority of his profits later in the night playing heads-up $500/$1,000 PLO and $300/$600 No-Limit Hold'em against DjAdi and Isaac "luvtheWNBA" Haxton.

Dwan left the tables with a profit of only $62k.

Once again, Isildur1 came away from the tables as the night's biggest winner with an impressive $819k profit.

This latest session put the Swede's profits for the year at around $5.4 million, over $300k ahead of Antonius, who now sits second.

Below are the three largest pots of the night.
Thorsson wins 2009 Amsterdam Master Classics

To book the win, Thorsson had to get by former Dutch field hockey player Fatima Moreira de Melo, a PokerStars SportStars, consistent Dutch Team PokerStars Pro Thierry van den Berg and English Full Tilt Pro Ben Roberts.

Moreira de Melo came to the final table as one of the medium stacks, but wasted no time trying to chip up.

The Olympic gold medalist got unlucky when her pocket kings failed to get past an opponent's A-Q and shortly after, she made an ill-timed shove for the last of her chips to end up the first elimination at the final table.

Moreira de Melo took home €32,832 for coming in ninth place, her first cash on the International poker circuit.

The next to bust was Roberts, who made a move with Q-3 and got called down. Van den Berg would soon follow after losing a race with pocket jacks versus A-Q.

Thorsson had entered the final table second in chips and never let up in his journey to the title.

He busted Tim van de Riet, Nicklas Saarisilta and Andras Nemeth on his way to a heads-up match against Turkish player Saydam Ozgur.

Although the Master Classics of Poker was his first major live tournament score, Thorsson has racked up hundreds of thousands in online winnings.

Playing under the screen name Sumpas, Thorsson won a World Championship of Online Poker title in September taking down the $10,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Rollers event for $600,000.

The 2009 Amsterdam Master Classics of Poker took place Nov. 10-13 at the Holland Casino. The €6,000 buy-in event drew 342 players creating an overall prize pool of just over €2 million.

Here are the complete final table payouts:

1. Kristoffer Thorsson - €636,120
2. Saydam Ozgur - €365,256
3. Nicklas Saarisilta - €211,356
4. Andras Nemeth - €135,432
5. Tim van de Riet - €108,756
6. Kenny Hallaert - €86,184
7. Theirry van den Berg - €65,664
8. Ben Roberts - €45,144
9. Fatima Moreira de Melo - €32,832

Visit PokerListings.com
