PokerStars on Betfair: New Co-Branded Offer for Players in UK

PokerStars on Betfair: New Co-Branded Offer for Players in UK

On August 13th, 2026, PokerStars UK moved to the Betfair platform to give players from this country access to an increased pool via unified PokerStars Network. This method was previously tested in Italy on the Sisal and SNAI brands, and in the USA on FunDuel — now the best practices resulting from these tests have come to the UK.

What’s Happening with PokerStars UK?

In effect, PokerStars UK is being integrated into the Betfair platform — now UK players will be able to access a bigger poker pool through PokerStars on Betfair, with one account on the shared PokerStars Network.

The idea is to consolidate the fragmented pool by merging brands and simplifying access to the PokerStars Network while maintaining a “regional experience”.

Explaining the reason for this co-branding, Mike Woodbridge, Chief Commercial Officer at PokerStars, said:

Mike Woodbridge

“PokerStars is the most iconic brand in global poker – these changes ensure that it remains a core, strategic brand within Flutter’s portfolio. In recent years the market environment has got harder for brands like PokerStars. A patchwork of regulation from one market to the next has fragmented the global game and led us to make difficult decisions to exit certain markets and not enter others. Players have felt it through thinner fields and smaller tournament prizes on our site. We want to do something about that, so we’re moving to a different model with the aim of improving liquidity and player pools and bringing people back to the poker table.”

Kim Daly, Managing Director for Betfair, added to his words:

“I’m thrilled to bring two iconic brands under one roof. By integrating PokerStars onto the Betfair platform, we’re uniting two category-transformers that share a passion for innovation and player empowerment.”

What is Required from UK Players due to the New Co-Branding?

Everything will remain unchanged until the transition day. Then, support will contact those whose access to the PokerStars Network pool will change to explain the next steps, and Betfair customers will be able to play on PokerStars through PokerStars on Betfair.

Who Else Will Join the PokerStars Network?

In the near future, two more brands from Flutter parent company will begin hosting PokerStars games in a unified format: Paddy Power and Sky Poker. However, their joining dates have not yet been announced.
