A Look At This Weekends (16/04) Knockout Poker Action

There is plenty of action online this weekend, and bounties will be flying across GGPoker and PokerStars. The Irish Open’s Afterparty has been running since April 12th with a $3,000,000 guarantee. Plenty of that is still up for grabs in a range of bounty tournaments this weekend. Concurrently on GGPoker, the Bounty Hunters Series has a whopping $80,000,000 in guaranteed prize money up for grabs. There is major value for the low-stakes players to get a slice of the sizeable prize pools on offer. Here is a look at a few to jump into.

Bounty Hunting on GGPoker

As expected with a Bounty Hunter Series, there is plenty of knockout action to get involved with on GGPoker over the weekend. From standard PKOs to Mystery Bounties, players are spoilt for choice when it comes to game selection over the coming days.

$15 Mini Friday Night Fight [6-Max]

To kick off the weekend, the Friday Night Fight comes packed with a $125,000 prize pool and a generous 10-minute level structure. Bounties start at $3.50 a head, and the total bounty prize pool makes up half of the overall total. Levels will shorten to 7 minutes in length when registration closes at Level 16. The tournament kicks off at 7 p.m. GMT. Players are allowed unlimited entries for this tournament. As always, play responsibly and within your means. With all of these tournaments, any knockouts scored will earn points for the $41k+ Daily Bounty King Leaderboard. To learn more about the leaderboard, click here.

$15 Mini Saturday Secret KO [Mystery Bounty]

The first of three Mystery Bounty tournaments of the weekend for low-stakes players comes in the form of the $250,000 guaranteed $15 Mini Saturday Secret KO. Starting at 7 p.m. GMT, players will be looking to build a stack and battle for bounties once the tournament is in the money. Players have 17 Levels of late registration, with unlimited re-entries. Levels run for 8 minutes throughout, and a staggering $125,000 will be up for grabs via the elusive Mystery Bounty Chest. Expect these numbers to be smashed, and it would be no surprise to see the total prize pool balloon to over $300,000.

$15 Mini Showdown [Mystery Bounty]

Coming in with an even bigger prize pool, the Mini Showdown will have $300,000 in prize money guaranteed from the get-go. Kicking off at 2.30 p.m. GMT on Sunday, 19th, players have 13 Levels to register, all of which are 12 minutes long. After that, the levels decrease to 8 minutes. Expect this tournament to be huge. Really huge. In the last four runnings of this event, over 20,000 entered on each occasion. With $150,000 to be pulled from the briefcase, it is no surprise to see why. A second running of this takes place on the same day at 9 p.m. GMT with the same structure and a $200,000 prize pool for those looking to grind long into the small hours of Monday morning.

$15 Bounty Freezout

The Freezeout is a taste of old school poker with a bounty twist. In this $100,000 guaranteed event, you have to make your one bullet count, with no rebuys allowed. Starting at 7.30 p.m. GMT on Sunday, players have 13 Levels to register, all of which are 12 minutes long. After that, the levels decrease to 8 minutes.

$5.50 NLHE [Progressive Big KO, Mini Banshee]

Starting at the same time on Saturday, this variation sees more of the buy-in go into the bounty prize pool. Players will start with $1.50 on their heads. They will have 2 hours and 15 minutes of late registration and up to five re-entries. These $5.50 tournaments are lots of fun, and definitely worth playing.
