With the November Nine just a week away and major tournaments running everywhere from Chicago to Vienna, it was a busy week in the PokerListings news room.

We're only human, so it's no surprise a few stories fell through the cracks.

Fortunately, we've compiled them below in our weekly Poker News in Brief feature.

This week PokerStars signs a really great Dane, Brotha D wins again, 888 signs on as the RPT's sponsor and more.

PokerStars Signs Jorgensen

Dane Theo Jorgensen has joined Team PokerStars Pro.

After earning $1.1 million in tournaments in 2010, Jorgensen will begin his role as brand ambassador by hosting the opening event of the Nordic Championship of Online Poker Nov. 4.

"I’m delighted to be joining the world's largest poker site," Jorgensen said. "PokerStars has always hosted the best poker events in the world and sponsors only the most talented players, so I am very excited to be a part of this.”

Jorgensen's more than $2 million in career live tournament earnings includes a win at the WPT Grand Prix de Paris in May 2010, WSOP Bracelet wins on both sides of the Atlantic and two PokerStars EPT final table appearances.

Brotha D Wins Second Title

The Godfather of New Zealand hip hop won his second major poker title this week.

Danny "Brotha D" Leaoasavaii followed up his APPT Auckland main event win with a victory at the PokerStars ANZPT Darwin main event.

Leaoasavaii outlasted the 100-player field to claim the AUD$57,000 first prize.

Team PokerStars Pro Tony Hachem bubbled the final table, but still eartned enough points top secure the ANZPT Player of the Year trophy - his second in as many years.

Season 3 on the ANZPT kicks off in Adelaide Feb 2-6.

888poker has signed on as sponsor for The Russian Poker Tour's final tournament of 2010.

The $500,000 Guaranteed RPT Grand Final in Kiev, Ukraine will take place Nov. 9-18.
