CoinPoker slowly but inevitably becomes a mecca of the most dynamic cash games in the poker industry. To ensure this, the room runs special promotions for cash players, which are periodically updated based on feedback from the community.

One of the most popular promotions, the CoinRaces leaderboard for stakes up to $25/50, underwent two prize pool adjustments in the summer of 2026: in July and August, it was increased by $200,000. In this article, we’ll explain how this promotion works and how to get the most out of it.

How CoinRaces Works

By playing Hold’em and Omaha cash games every day for set periods of one to two hours, players generate rake — and this rake gives them “coins” (points) to the corresponding leaderboard for the stakes they are playing.

After the allotted period, a fixed number of players split the leaderboard prize pool among themselves, proportional to how much rake they generated out of the total.

For example, you played $1/2 from 00:00 to 02:00 UTC. The 250 most active players split $3,500. These players generated $1,500 in rake, making your contribution 15%. Therefore, you would receive 15% of the $3,500 prize pool — $525.

So, the goal of each player is to collect as much rake as possible from the total amount within an hour or two — it depends on a specific leaderboard length.

Which Games Count Towards Each CoinRaces Leaderboard?

Each eligible leaderboard limit counts for real money cash games of four types:

Texas Hold’em from $0.01/0.02 to $25/50
Pot Limit Omaha from $0.01/0.02 to $25/50 — including PLO4, PLO5 and PLO6
Bomb Pot from $0.01/0.02 to $25/50
All-In or Fold from $0.10/0.25 to $25/50

Players can participate in any number of leaderboards; the room does not limit them in any way.

Duration of Each CoinRaces

Only the leaderboards for the $0.01/0.02 and $0.02/0.05 micro-stakes last for 1 hour, resetting every hour for 24 hours.

For all other stakes up to $25/50, each leaderboard lasts 2 hours from midnight to midnight.

How to Get the Most Value from CoinRaces

The biggest prizes in the promotion go to those who generate the most rake within the allotted hour or two. However, the trick to maximizing your winnings is choosing the right timeframe and game.

For example, if you play NL50, the hottest hours with the largest prize pool and the biggest top prizes will be between 18:00 and 22:00 UTC.
