Poker Central Offers WSOP Streaming for $10/m with PokerGO Service
Poker Central is set to offer a plethora of WSOP and SHRB streaming this summer but it will come at a cost.
The company announced a brand-new app called PokerGo that will offer live streaming of various poker events in addition to previously recorded poker programming.
PokerGO will feature coverage of the $111k WSOP One Drop event, $10k Heads-Up, the $1,500 6-Max final table, untelevised coverage of the Main Event and more.
That’s in addition to five days of Super High Roller Bowl coverage.
The streaming service starts at $10 a month but you can also opt for $99 for the whole year and get a significant discount.
PokerGO the Netflix of Poker?
In addition to live programming PokerGO will also offer a back catalog of shows including Poker After Dark, Face the Ace and Doubles Poker Championship.
PokerGO will also feature Poker Central original programming like Pokerography and Dead Money: A Super High Roller Bowl Story.
“PokerGO will offer the best live and on-demand poker tournaments and content for the fiercely passionate poker fan and casual enthusiast alike - whenever and wherever they want them,” said JR McCabe, chief digital officer for Poker Central.
Later in the summer PokerGO will stream high-stakes cash games on a weekly basis.
The live-streaming service won’t go dormant after the summer either with multiple events set to premiere on PokerGO every month.
All PokerGO live events will be produced by Poker Productions, which has a long history in the poker world and produced some of the biggest poker TV shows ever.
It's been an interesting ride for Poker Central, which initially began as a traditional cable network but has now fully pivoted to the digital world.
Poker Central Kicks Off Summer with Free Streaming
Not convinced? Poker Central will offer Day 1 of the 2017 Super High Roller Bowl for free to give everyone a taste of the action.
You can stream PokerGO simply by heading to the company’s website but the service will also be available as an app on iOS and Android as well as streaming devices like Apple TV, Roku TV, Android TV, chromecast and Fire TV.
PokerGO will also be added to Xbox One and PS4 in the near future.
You can check out the complete schedule of live streaming events on the PokerGO website (with more to be added in the future) but here’s a look at the initial offering:
