Thor Hansen is one of poker's greats. Indeed, he has stood the test of time and remains one of the best players in the world.

How long have you been playing poker?

I've played poker for 45 years.

Why did you start playing poker?

I have always been a gambler.

What is your favorite poker game?

I like all games but particularly Seven-Card Stud.

Describe your playing style?

The style that beats the opposition, to put it simply, and what that is depends on the circumstances.

How has your game changed over the last 4 years as a result of the poker explosion?

I play much more No-Limit Hold'em. When I started playing in Las Vegas there was none of that. Today the games are fair and honest, not like they could be back in the days when cheating and other things were going on.

What are your poker ambitions?

Win another big tournament.

What are the best things about poker?

Everybody can play.
