'Dannenmann' beats Bodog.com pro heads-up

By: Christopher Hunt

It's not the "Dannenmann" you're thinking of. But he seems to have a little bit of game in his own right, as Bodog.com online player "Dannenmann" (no relation to famous WSOP runner-up Steve Dannenmann) took out pro David Williams in the Tournament Leaderboard Heads-up Series.

The weekly leaderboard series at Bodog.com works like this: Finish on top for the week with points accumulated from eligible tournaments, and you get to go heads-up with one of three top Bodog.com pros - David Williams, Evelyn Ng, or Josh Arieh - for $1,000.

Last week "Dannenmann" eked out a narrow victory and was rewarded with a match against David Williams.

To sweeten the deal even further, Team Bodog pros had won the previous three weeks, carrying the $1,000 over each time, making the take for this one $4,000.

"Dannenmann" promptly took the hefty sum from the normally fearsome Williams, dropping the pro's record in the heads-up series to nine wins and six losses.

The pool will be back to $1,000 for this week, and you can see all the details at Bodog.com.
