The poker year is still far from over and yet the Dublin Poker Festival is already looking ahead to 2026. Just a few days, the Irish festival announced a new partnership with WPT Global for its 2026 edition, set from February 19 to March 1 at the Bonnington Hotel Conference Centre in Dublin. The official confirmation came via X this week, following a teaser dropped on The Lock-In podcast.
We leaked it on the LOCK-IN but @wpt_global’s partnership with The Dublin Poker Festival is now confirmed.

While further details about the collaboration are still under wraps, we’re expecting to know more in the coming months. And even with the few bits of information we have for now, we know some two things for sure: first, this announcement marks WPT Global’s latest step into the European live poker scene and two, it puts one of Ireland’s most beloved poker festivals on an even bigger international stage in 2026.
What Is the Dublin Poker Festival?
The Dublin Poker Festival has been a fixture on the Irish calendar since 2015, when D4 Events brought together two established tournaments, the European Deepstack Poker Championship and the Amateur Championship of Poker (ACOP) into a single two-week festival.
The Deepstack, which is now in its 18th year, is credited for popularizing deeper starting stacks in live tournaments. After almost two decades, its current structure offers a 100,000-chip start for a €570 buy-in.
ACOP, meanwhile, keeps things grassroots with its €300 entry and friendly atmosphere. It began in 2013 and now attracts fields of 800 or more, built from pub leagues, regional qualifiers, and low-stakes grinders.
In recent years, the festival also expanded its schedule to include two more titles:
- The Irish Senior Poker Championship (for players aged 50+), and
- The Irish Ladies Poker Championship (introduced in 2025)
What to Expect from the Dublin Poker Festival in 2026
The full 2026 schedule is already available, with over €400,000 guaranteed across the two weeks. The two main events (the ACOP and the European Deepstack) are returning for 2026 alongside the Seniors and Ladies Championships. Just like previous year, The Bonnington Hotel will once again host the festival in Dublin.
And with WPT Global now officially onboard, all that’s left is the question of online qualifiers or additional branded events to be introduced. But for now, the festival remains unchanged: quality structures, inclusive formats, and a poker crowd ready to fill the felt in Dublin in this winter.
