PokerStars: A Look Ahead at the Upcoming Bounty Series

With the recent EPT Season having wrapped up on the iconic PokerStars, online poker players don’t have long to wait until the next series of tournaments are upon them. The Bounty Series kicks off on Sunday 16th November, and will feature 169 events, and a total guarantee of $12,500,000. Buy-ins range from the micro-stakes level of $5.50, to all the high-stakes of $5,200. Here is a look at some of the highlights at the lower end of the buy-in spectrum.

Sunday Storm

A staple in the weekly online poker schedule for micro-stakes players is the $11 Sunday Storm. The Sunday Storm will run three times during the series, and each time, slices of a $100,000 prize pool will be up for grabs to those that enter. The Sunday Storm gives players up to five re-entries during the 2 hour and 10 minute long registration period, as well as 10 minute long levels. This is a two-day event, and Day 1 will break after 6 hours and 50 minutes of play. All players start with a bounty of $5, and each time a player is eliminated, 50% of their current bounty is awarded to the player that eliminated them, and the remaining 50% is added to their own bounty. There are satellites available from 55 cents, $1.10 and $2.20, with each stake offering a different number of seats. The Sunday Storm starts at 7.05 p.m. GMT on Sundays 16th, 23rd and 30th and will be played with 8-Max tables.

Mystery Bounty Selection

PokerStars Bounty Builder Series 2025

Mystery Bounty tournaments haven’t been forgotten in the upcoming Bounty Series. The format continues to grow in popularity, and that reflects in this series’ schedule, as there are a range of Mystery Bounty tournaments between the $5.50-$22 mark, as well as beyond. On November 17th, the $22 Bounty Builder Series 8-Max Mystery Bounty will offer a $80,000 guaranteed prize pool, with half going into the virtual mystery briefcase, and the other into the standard prize pool. Blinds will run for 8 minutes apiece, and registration will be open for 2 hours and 10 minutes after the cards first hit the felt. Mystery bounties will come into play when the field are in the money. Players are allowed up to three re-entries, and there are satellites from as little as a $1.10 if you wish to try win your seat at the table for a fraction of the buy-in. The same tournament also runs on November 24th, and they both start at 6.05 p.m. GMT. On December 1st, the $22 7-Max Turbo Big Mystery also offers an $80k prize pool, but $15 of each buy-in goes into the bounty prize pool, instead of $10 like in the previous $22s. The first level lasts for 35 minutes before dropping to 6 minutes per level, which incentivizes players to register and play from the start in order to accumulate a stack. Players are allowed up to three re-entries if they so choose.

Satellites To $75 NLHE 8-Max Sunday Special $400k GTD

Satellites are a part of most poker player’s games at all levels, and they do offer good value for players looking to climb the stakes or save on buy-ins. On the day of publication, there are two $11 100 seat guaranteed satellites to the $75 NLHE 8-Max Sunday Special which starts tomorrow at 6.05 p.m. GMT. One satellite kicks off at 6.05 p.m. GMT tonight, and the other two hours later at 8.05 p.m. Can’t make those? No worries. There will be two 70 seat guaranteed satellites running at 1.05 p.m. GMT and 2.05 p.m., the former costing $11, and the latter costing $5.50. An $11 100 seat guaranteed satellite will also run at 3.15 p.m., as well as a whopping $11 200 seat guarantee satellite at 4.05 p.m. This may sound a bit too close for comfort in relation to the tournament start time, but the tournament itself offers 15 minute levels and four hours of late registration, meaning qualifiers from the 200 seat satellite should still get a decent chunk of play time and chips to work with. Players will start with a bounty of $17.50 on their heads, with $35 of each buy-in going into the bounty prize pool.
