The 39th Banco Masters Is Just Around the Corner

If you haven't been living under a rock (and have been following our news updates regularly), you already know the Banco Casino Masters is right around the corner. The 39th edition of the festival (yes, you read that right) is returning to Banco Casino this May, from the 13th to the 20th to be exact.

The overall guarantee of a quarter of a million Euros is by itself monumental but there's more to the event than just its GTD. Today, we're breaking down the 39th edition of the Banco Masters while giving you a bit of detail on the capital venue as well!

What You Need to Know About the Banco Masters

Around since 2016, the Banco Masters is currently the longest ongoing live poker series in Slovakia. In this edition, the entrance fee has been set to just 170€, meaning the future Banco poker champion could turn their pocket money into tens of thousands of Euros.

But we're getting ahead of ourselves. After all, the first events haven't even kicked off yet - and lucky for players, this means that there's still time to secure the special qualifying bonus* at Banco Casino.

Players who manage to qualify twice will receive a 500€ bonus from the casino. Those who pull this off a third time are going to be looking at a 1,500€ bonus. Talk about starting off the festival on the right foot!

The Main Event

What's a poker tournament without a main event and at the Banco Masters it's one for the history books. Kicking off the second day of the festival, May 14th, the Main Event will have a 170€ buy-in and a 250,000€ guarantee. The suspense will end only on the last day when the 39th Banco Masters champion will be crowned!

Bratislava - The New Poker Capital

Being the biggest poker tournament in the country, it makes sense that the Banco Masters is taking place at no other location that the Slovakian capital, Bratislava. But what do the players coming in really know about this historic venue?

For one, the capital is uniquely situated at the crossroads of Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary, making it the only capital in the world to border two countries. On a less geographical note, Bratislava is also a city of many firsts and records — it hosts the iconic UFO Bridge, renowned for its futuristic design, and claims Europe's narrowest house.

We've left just a few cultural breadcrumbs here, hopefully just enough to see players taking advantage of this breathtaking European capital and not just the poker tables within it!

Good luck to all the players! The team here at PokerListings can't wait to see what Bratislava has in store for you!
