First EPC Event in Bratislava Is a Huge Success, Banco Casino Masters Is up Next!
The first Euro Poker Championship was being held at the Banco Casino in Bratislava. Where all eyes were set on a battle between players from Cyprus and Greece, the event was open for everyone to join. It would be a massive success having 1,512 entries, accumulating a prize pool of 459,650 euros!
Banco Casino is no stranger when it comes to organising massive field events. The Euro Poker Championship (EPC) was about to make its debut in Bratislava, coming with a guaranteed prize pool of a whopping 400,000!
Besides the grand Main Event, plenty of side events were played down to a winner. Events such as the €1,000 High Roller (€50K GTD), €125 Novibet Beat the Pros (€20K GTD), and the €225 Mystery Bounty (€20K GTD).
As mentioned, the €350 Main Event with an initial guaranteed prize pool of €400,000 was a huge success. The guarantee was exceeded with an additional €59,650. It was eventually Greece who would end up winning the event as Vouldis Nikolaos bested a field of 1,512 entries and took it down for a great first prize of €81,320!

Farewell to Zuzana Mikulikova
It will be the first Banco Casino Masters in years, without Tournament Director Zuzana Mikulikova unfortunately, as she left Banco Casino in the quest for new endeavors. Nevertheless, the tournaments were already in good hands with Michal Borovsky, and with the help of fellow staff members such as Matúš Chyba, and they will still be in good hands in the upcoming period of glorious live poker events- and cash game action!
