Exciting Poker Events Heating Up Bratislava: Winter Cup, Euro Championship, and Banco Masters!
The Winter Polish Poker Cup is in full swing at the moment in Bratislava. Where the Main Event got kicked off last Monday, it is expected to become super busy towards the end of the week. With this event ongoing, we will not only dive more into this event but also look forward already to upcoming events such as the Euro Poker Championship and the 38th edition of the Banco Masters.
The opening flight day 1a of the €130 Main Event of the Winter Polish Poker Cup on Monday attracted a total of 96 entries. With 10% of the field advancing to the second day, a total of 10 players qualified. At the moment of writing, Day 1b is on the way with 123 entries. With late registration still open there are currently 72 remaining players competing to find a bag at the end of the day. Who will be the successor of the previous Main Event winner Peter Laczkovich by the end of the week? It resulted in a massive payday of €77,029 in the record-breaking event in the history of Slovakian poker with a total number of entries of 5,061!
With plenty of flights to come, it is most certainly a dream start for the event with already having crossed the 200 entries on the board. The live qualifiers will also kick-off, and the side events will be hosted as well throughout the entire week. The Euro Poker Championship
At the end of March (19/3 – 25/3), Banco Casino will welcome a newcomer to the Slovakian poker scene with the Euro Poker Championship (EPC). With a total of €500,000 in guaranteed prizes and a horde of players from Cyprus and Greece, the event is already to be expressed as EPIC! The Main Event has got a buy-in of €350 and guarantees €400,000. If you don’t consider yourself much of a tournament player, do not worry, as the cash games will be on fire throughout the whole week, including all local bonuses such as the bad beat jackpot.
