yuvee04 goes back-to-back at FTOPS IX

Yuval Bronshtein was all smiles after winning FTOPS IX Events 14 and 15.
There have been some incredible performances at the FTOPS in the past - Erick Lindgren winning his own event springs to mind - but perhaps none as stunning as what Yuval Bronsthein accomplished yesterday.
yuvee04, also known as Yuval Bronshtein, won both Event 14, $500+$35 H.O.R.S.E., and Event 15, $200+$16 No-Limit Hold'em turbo. Both events started at the same time so Bronshtein had to multi-table his way to victory. Fortunately the turbo event ended at just past midnight EDT, so he had six hours to concentrate on closing out the H.O.R.S.E. event.
The Atlanta-based pro was previously best-known for finishing third in the 2007 $2,000 Pot-Limit Hold'em event and sixth at the £2,500 H.O.R.S.E. event at the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe.
After winning both events yuvee04 rocketed to the top of the FTOPS IX leaderboard with 87 more points than former leader Ben "bmf823" Fineman, for a total of 407 points. There's a good chance that no one will be able to catch yuvee04 now.
Bronshtein put in a dominating performance in Event 14 H.O.R.S.E., which was hosted by Jens Voertmann, although he did have to compete with having Chris "MoormanI" Moorman at the final table. Full Tilt pros Steve Zolotow, John D'Agostino, "Miami" John Cernuto and Jonathan "Pearljammed" Turner all made it into the money.
Bronshtein beat spadez67 in heads-up to claim the $70,000 first-place prize.
Event 15 No-Limit turbo was a little bit tougher and Bronshtein had to get lucky on a couple of occasions.
Full Tilt pro Robert Williamson III was gunning for the final table but eventually bowed out at 14th. Australian Rayan "rkruok" Nathan finished 16th and current WPT World Champion David Chiu took 17th.
Mike "SowersUNCC" continues to have a good FTOPS and finished 36th in Event 15. Erica Schoenberg finished 61st.
All the above players placed higher than the host, author Michael Craig, who, despite having a good FTOPS, didn't make the money in his own event.
Of course ultimately no one could stand in the way of yuvee04. Mark "Newhizzle" Newhouse made the final table but was relegated to the rail in sixth for $17,000. Bronshtein proceeded to beat ANIMAL5050 in heads-up to take down a cool $100,975.
Many are calling Bronshtein's feat one of the most impressive in the history of MTTs and the next time we see him - check our coverage of the WSOPE - he might be wearing a couple of gold Full Tilt jerseys.
