In a finale that had everything — aggression, drama, and a preflop three-way showdown — Sweden’s Jenny Westerlund claimed the WSOPC €1,500 Main Event title in Tallinn, becoming the first woman in poker to win the prestigious event and doing so in spectacular fashion.
Held at OlyBet’s Olympic Park Casino, this year’s WSOPC Tallinn Main Event attracted a record-breaking 888 entries, the largest WSOPC field ever hosted in Estonia. Westerlund walked away with €200,200 and a €5,000 Ticket to Paradise package, more than quadrupling her previous career-best cash and earning herself a long-coveted WSOP Circuit ring.
Commanding the Final Table
Westerlund entered the final day second in chips and wasted no time putting that stack to work. Her strategy was clear: pressure the mid-stacks, punish the short ones, and take control. It worked. She applied consistent aggression throughout the session and navigated through a tough final table that included players from eight different countries.
But the real fireworks came as soon as the action went three-handed. On the very first hand of three-handed play, all three players got their stacks in the middle preflop. Westerlund tabled A J , Poland’s Krzysztof Chmielowski flipped over Q Q , and Estonia’s last hope, Igor Pihela Sr., showed A 6 .

The 2 9 3 flop gave Westerlund a flush draw but kept Chmielowski ahead with the queens. Then came the A on the turn—top pair for Westerlund and a major swing in momentum. The river 5 sealed it.
In one hand, Chmielowski was out in second place for €128,500, Pihela Sr. took third for €90,200, and Westerlund was crowned champion.
After the win, Westerlund sat down with OlyBet’s Andreas Höglund and spoke candidly about the overwhelming moment.
“I don’t think I really recognize the feeling yet,” she admitted:
It’ll be a couple of days before I realize I actually won all that money.
