Trojan Mesh Agent Allows Paul Gregg to Win Millions Online

High-stakes regular Aleksey “Avr0ra” Borovkov shared the details of the story on his blog.

A Canadian named Paul Gregg (likely not acting alone) installed a Trojan on the computers of regulars.

Exactly how he did it remains unknown. One possibility is that the Trojan was installed through third-party software. One theory is that it was spread through Intuitive Tables installer.

The cheater gained access to the hole cards of opponents whose computers were infected with the Trojan, then spent months bumhunting them and beating them over and over again.

He tried not to draw attention to himself, but players eventually managed to figure him out. Sometimes the cheater got “greedy,” and his overall results were simply incredible.

Players started digging into the data and found a pattern: he was winning against certain regulars and played 90% of his hands against them.

According to SmartHand data shown in screenshots provided by Avr0ra, OxOO and JackKlompus earned more than $837K in combined profit.
