Online empire?

At long last real-money online poker is going live in New Jersey next week.

On Nov. 21 the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement is planning a soft launch for Atlantic City casinos launching online poker sites.

For the first two days real-money gambling will be tested from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. with no more than 500 concurrent users. The soft launch is available by invitation only.

On Nov. 24-25 the playing window will be expanded to 8 a.m. to 12 a.m.

Any sites that get a pass from the DGE will officially go public on Nov. 26. The soft launch will continue for sites that do not pass DGE scrutiny.

Furthermore the DGE has released some information about sign-up bonuses in New Jersey. For the most part bonuses will allowed but not for the first 30 days.

New Jersey is set to become the third state to allow regulated real-money online poker following Nevada and Delaware.

The advantage for New Jersey is that their population is significantly bigger than either Nevada or Delaware.

Information about which properties in New Jersey will be receiving online licenses is expected to be released tomorrow.
