WPT Global is the international online real-money branch of the World Poker Tour - a new poker provider that focuses on fun poker games and a safe environment for players. The World Poker Tour was one of the catalysts for the poker boom in the early 1990s with televised high-stakes games and tournaments, and since then WPT tournaments have welcomed players from all over the world.

WPT Global was launched in 2022 and is available in over 50 countries. The organizers of the World Poker Tour have amassed decades of experience in providing poker games and all of this experience is put into this poker software.

Every player who creates an account at WPT Global is rewarded a welcome bonus with his first deposit.

The WPT Global welcome bonus consists of a $55 satellite ticket to the World Championship Qualifier. All you have to do is create your account, deposit some money and the ticket is yours!

Regular Bonus: 100% Match on Deposits up to $1,200

WPT Global offers a big deposit bonus with a massive 100% match on deposits up to $1,200. New players who deposit at least $20 will automatically be granted this bonus with no bonus code required. The bonus is credited in $5 increments. For every $20 of rake generated, $5 is credited directly to the account. Thus, this bonus corresponds to an effective cashback of 25% - which is slightly better than the industry standard.

Both tournaments and cash games count towards clearing the bonus and new players have 90 days from their first deposit to clear the bonus.

WPT Global Cash Game Options

WPT Global focuses on no-limit Texas Hold'em for its cash games. The cash tables are suitable for all bankrolls with stakes both low and high.

Besides regular Hold'em, you can also play 6+ Hold'em (also called Short Deck Hold'em) and Pot-Limit Omaha. PLO is only available in tournaments for the time being. WPT Global advertises that it will offer so-called "splash" games shortly after the launch. In these games, antes are randomly added to the pot before a hand at randomly selected tables. These antes can range from a few to dozens of big blinds and boost the action at the tables enormously.

• No chat: As with many other providers, there is no table chat at WPT Global, only emojis.
• Fast fold with "Pace Poker": Most cash games are offered in a so-called Pace Poker mode. This is a variant of Fast Fold Poker in which, after you have folded a hand, you are placed directly at a new table.
• NFTs as avatars: WPT Global offers a range of detailed, fancy avatars and table views. Players even have the option to use NFTs as avatars via the Poker Heroes Club (see below).

Tournaments

The World Poker Tour is one of the most prestigious live tournament providers and titles awarded are coveted by professionals and amateurs alike.  WPT Global offers players the opportunity to win tickets to all major WPT tournaments with exclusive online satellites. 

But of course, WPT Global also offers regular online tournaments. The tournament structures range from Slow to Hyper-Turbo.  Daily tournaments are offered with buy-ins of $2, $11, $25, $55, and $109.

The tournaments come in three different variations:

• Short Deck
• Pot-Limit Omaha
• No-Limit Hold'em

WPT Global also offers Bounty Hunter and Progressive Bounty tournaments, where a portion of the buy-in is awarded as a bounty on each player. There are Bounty MTTs throughout the day in all variations and with different buy-ins.

The provider is running three $109 Deepstack tournaments every day with regular, turbo, and hyper-turbo structures. Expect to see seasonal events at WPT Global as well. For example, the $1 for $1 million promotion, which awards a seven-figure prize pool for a single dollar buy-in. In addition, there are daily freerolls as well as special Sunday and high roller events, such as the daily $550 Deepstack Turbo.

WPT Global VIP Club

The WPT Global VIP Club is designed to maintain a safe, sustainable poker eco system that keeps games fair and fun for players of all levels.

The VIP points received are based on the rake a player contributes. In calculating how much rake a player contributes, a dynamic is used that considers how active the player is, whether they are new to the game and what games they play. The details of this dynamic are not yet known. WPT Global itself states that new players can expect a cashback of 40% from the start and that this cashback can be as high as 70% for some groups of players.

NFT Avatars via the Poker Heroes Club

WPT Global is trying to connect poker and the metaverse. With blockchain developer GAMAVRS, WPT Global offers the Poker Heroes Club. This is exclusive to the owners of a total of 9,999 playable NFT avatars, which were auctioned off from February 2022. These come in three tiers: Humans, Cyborgs, and Gods. Each tier unlocks its own exclusive benefits, these can include (depending on the rarity of the avatar):

• Private Discord channel
• Members Only Club access
• Access to special online events
• VIP events at WPT live stops
