Year of Ali Imsirovic (Again?); Wins Wynn Millions $10K High Roller ($180,000)

The 2021 PokerGO Tour Champion Ali Imsirovic does it yet once again! The Bosnian poker pro notched his fourth big victory of the year after defeating Lithuania’s Matas Cimbolas heads-up to win the PokerGO Tour (PGT) Wynn Millions High Roller Series Event #3: $10,300 No Limit Hold’em for $180,000.

The road to victory began after Imsirovic bagged a huge stack in the $10 million guaranteed Wynn Millions $10,000 Main Event on Day 2ab.

Imsirovic, who has $16.5 million in live tournament earnings according to The Hendon Mob, has been the last player standing in high stakes tournaments at least once each month this year. Back in January, he shipped the PGT Venetian High Rollers Event #4: $25,000 No Limit Hold’em for $695,355, which still stands as his biggest cash haul of this year.

One victory was not enough for Imsirovic in February as he found the winner’s circle twice last month. The first victory came early in February when Imsirovic claimed the title in the PokerGO Cup Event #7: $25,000 No Limit Hold’em. A couple of weeks later, Imsirovic was back at it again by winning the PGT ARIA High Roller Series Event #2: $10,000 No Limit Hold’em for $129,600.

Event #3 attracted 60 entries to generate a $600,000 with the top nine players guaranteed at least a $18,000 min-cash.

This represents a significant hike in attendance, likely due to the $10 million guaranteed Wynn Millions Main Event bringing more players to the Wynn in Las Vegas with Jake Schindler defeating a tidier field of 49 entries to win the opening event and GGPoker Ambassador Daniel Negreanu coming out on top of a field of 40 entries to ship the second event.

Imsirovic Soars to Second on the 2022 PokerGO Tour Leaderboard

Ali Imsirovic mastered an incredible 2021 to win the PokerGO Tour Leaderboard and is strongly in the hunt a little more than two months into 2022 for back-to-back leaderboard titles.

Nick Petrangelo boasted a small edge on the 2022 leaderboard as of Monday over Imsirovic with Sean Perry, Jeremy Ausmus, and Brock Wilson rounding out the top five spots.
