Ziigmund Rebounds with $118k Win
It may be a little early to break out the champagne but Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies finally posted a huge $118k win on Full Tilt last night.
Sahamies, who was in the midst of one of the biggest downswings of his career, hit the $300/$600 Six-Max PLO tables with Urindanger, rumprammer, Gus Hansen, harrington25 and DrugsOrMe for two hours last night.
It was clear from the beginning that it was going to be Ziigmund’s night as the Finn hit set over set in a blockbuster $137k pot.
When the game finally broke, Ziigmund was the biggest winner with $118k in profit.
Ziigmund, who is known for his unbelievable swings, hit $1.48 million in profit in early September and then dive-bombed straight into the gutter dropping to -$1.96 million last week.
Perhaps the most concerning factor of Ziigmund’s fall from grace was his inability to post even one significant win in the last three weeks.
That stretch finally appears to be over but Ziigmund will still have to go on the biggest heater of his life if he wants to get even from his current -$1.85 million before the year ends.
Ziigmund wasn’t the only player to rake in some cash in the high stakes online games last night. IHateJuice was technically the biggest winner taking $163k, mostly from $500/$1,000 Limit Hold’em games against O Fortuna PLS.
Some of the other big winners included IReadYrSoul (+$98k), DrugsOrMe (+$95k) and SOLID_FUNDS (+$88k).
In the losing column were Urindanger (-$219k), O Fortuna PLS (-$179k), rumprammer (-$118k) and Observer84 ($99k).
