The World Poker Tour has signed an international television sponsorship deal with PokerStars.

PokerStars will now be the WPT's title sponsor when Season 7 shows air in Canada, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands.

PokerStars and the WPT will also collaborate to create localized Spanish/Portuguese-language programs featuring native commentators for specific territories in Latin America.

"TV sponsorship is an important part of our business, so having the biggest company in the poker industry jump on board is an exciting way to start international distribution of Season 7," said WPT Founder and CEO Steve Lipscomb.

"We look forward to working with PokerStars as we roll out the latest WPT programming to fans in these territories."

The World Poker Tour announced this past November that it had inked a deal with Full Tilt Poker, giving similar title sponsorship and exclusive rights to in-show educational gaming brand integration for the 26 Season 7 episodes airing in the United States and Mexico.

It's amazing how strong are Full Tilt and PokerStars. They have limitless marketing budget comparing to the other poker rooms.
