Team Bodog's Arieh claims victory at PLO event

Team Bodog's Josh Arieh has done it again.

The well-known Atlanta pro has added another Pot-Limit Omaha title to his resume by outlasting 57 skilled players at the Wynn Classic $1,000 PLO with Re-buys event last week. Arieh had to beat a tough final table that included PLO specialist Ted Lawson, but he managed to pull through and raked $59,364 for his first-place finish.

This is not the first time Arieh has met with success at PLO. He won his second WSOP bracelet in the $2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event at the 2005 WSOP and back in 2000 he finished second in the $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha event at the WSOP.

"This kind of performance is what the poker world has come to expect from a two-time WSOP bracelet winner like Josh," said Morris Mohawk Gaming Group CEO Alwyn Morris. "We are extremely proud of his victory and we know that this is just a taste of what 2008 holds in store for Team Bodog at the poker tables."

Arieh has been on somewhat of a heater over the past few months and just last week he finished third in Event 1 of the Bodog Poker Open. Back in December Arieh finished second at the 2007 WSOPC New Orleans and took home an impressive $130,050 for his victory.

Arieh made headlines when he reached the final table of the 2005 WSOP Main Event and managed to finish third. Since then he has gone on to accumulate over $4.5 million in live-event winnings. Arieh is also a formidable online player and can be found regularly on Bodog where he hosts his own $3-$6 No-Limit Hold'em table.

David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Jean-Robert Bellande and of course Arieh are all members of Team Bodog.
