Qualify for Aussie Millions at PartyPoker.com

If you're looking to get rich down under, log onto the Internet and start playing some poker. For the second consecutive year, PartyPoker.com is allowing players to qualify online for Aussie Millions, the country's foremost poker tournament.

Running Jan. 6-19, 2007, at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, the tournament boasts more than $3.8 million in prize money. But players can qualify for as little as $3 in daily online events.

"The Aussie Millions was one of the most popular tournaments with our players last year and one where many of our regular players succeeded in showing up the pros," said a PartyPoker.com spokesman in a release.

The company is offering a $12,000 package - which includes the tournament's main event buy-in, accommodation and spending money - to each online qualifier. At last year's Aussie Millions, two PartyPoker.com players won almost $500,000 at the first live event's final table, beating out poker pros in the process. The 2006 winner took home $972,000.

Shannon Shorr, now a well-known poker pro, qualified online for last year's event. This year's tournament will include some of the biggest names in poker and will be filmed by Fox Sports.
