Phil Galfond puts hurt on Gus Hansen

Loving that sweet, sweet Gus money.
All the usual suspects including John Juanda, Gus Hansen, DaEvils and trex313 were up to their old tricks last night on Full Tilt Poker.
But it was WSOP bracelet winner Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond who would take the lion's share of the cash on the table.
Galfond won over half a million dollars against the considerable competition, and seemed to have it in for Hansen, taking several huge pots off the Dane.
Galfond, who hails from Gathersburg, Md., is known primarily for playing (and winning) high-stakes online poker, but also got some mainstream attention this summer when he beat the likes of Daniel Negreanu, David Benyamine, Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth to take down $817,781 in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha w/Rebuys event at the 2008 WSOP.
OMGClayAiken now looks like a lock to finish third in the top online Hold'em moneymakers for 2008, with $2.1 million in profit. Full Tilt pro Phil Ivey is holding onto second with $2.5 million, and online wunderkind Tom "durrrr" Dwan is miles ahead of his opponents with $6.3 million.
We've chosen to highlight the biggest hand against Hansen below in the PokerListings.com hand replayer.
It all went down at the aptly named Hansen Hideout on Full Tilt Poker, which is a $500/$1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha game. Galfond managed to hit a fairly well-concealed straight on the river and Hansen, holding a set of jacks, could not get away from the hand.
