Gus Hansen returned to the form that saw him become this year’s biggest online winner by raking in $686k this weekend.

Hansen burned through 2,176 hands and played a massive $300/$600 PLO session against Patrik Antonius.

Despite being close friends in real life, Hansen and Antonius have been mortal enemies on Full Tilt since U.S. players were locked from the site.

As two of the biggest fish left in the pond, Hansen and Antonius have locked horns numerous times in the last month with hundreds of thousands of dollars switching back and forth.

Although O Fortuna PLS and Esvedra joined in on the $300/$600 PLO battle last night, the decisive blows were between Hansen and Antonius.

This time around it was Hansen who had the hammer, as he would eventually leave the table with $686k. The win rockets Hansen back to the top of the online poker charts with $3.5 million in earnings this year.

Hansen had been on an extended losing streak since online poker’s Black Friday and last week even dipped below Antonius in 2011 winnings.

Meanwhile Antonius dropped a staggering $816k last night and fell all the way down to just $1.6 million in profit on the year.

O Fortuna PLS joined Hansen at the top of the online leaderboard over this weekend with $361k in profit.

On PokerStars, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was the man to beat with $72k in profit. Isildur1 is starting to gain momentum and has reduced his former deficit of $500k to just $78k in the last few weeks.

No one lost anywhere close to what Antonius dropped last night but FakeMonies (-$175k), ZInsenamnn (-$74k), Jp kelly (-$59k) Esvedra (-$57k) and PepperoniF (-$47k) all took a major hit this weekend.
