Full Tilt Poker reloads for FTOPS VIII

Jennifer Harman will be headlining the FTOPS VIII as the host of the main event.

Can you have too much of a good thing? Not according to the folks at Full Tilt Poker, who just released the schedule for the eighth rendition of FTOPS.

FTOPS VIII will take place from May 7 to May 18 and will feature a total of 24 events, including the $2 million guaranteed main event, which will be hosted by Full Tilt pro Jennifer Harman.

The entire series will offer more than $10 million in guaranteed prize money.

The online series has come a long way considering the first FTOPS, held way back in August 2006, was home to just eight events with much lower prize pools. Online player crownnginger was the first player to achieve FTOPS glory by winning the main event of that series.

Since then six more FTOPS champions have been crowned including FTOPS VII main event winner Reverse, who beat Thomas Wahlroos in heads-up play to win $456,401.

FTOPS VII featured 20 events. Once again Full Tilt is increasing the schedule, this time by four. Almost every game imaginable will be played at the FTOPS VIII including No-Limit Hold'em, Pot-Limit Omaha and Seven-Card Stud, along with high and low variations and short-handed games.

The Full Tilt pros will be out in droves with Mike Matusow, Max Pescatori, David Pham, Lee Watkinson, Amanda Baker and many more confirmed as hosts.

The schedule is yet to be finalized. There are a number of "mystery" events on it that do not list hosts or game type.
