The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet an off-the-board draft selection that somehow manages to pile up points in the ultra-tough mid-afternoon poker news world.

You can make suggestions for future 3-Bet pieces in the comments section below.

In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at the first team announced for the Global Poker League, Greg Raymer on YouStake and that epic Mizzi vs. Rast boxing match.

1) Las Vegas Moneymakers Join GPL

We have our first team for the Global Poker League.

The Las Vegas Moneymakers, headed by Chris Moneymaker of course, will compete against 11 other teams in the upcoming league.

“This will be a fun adventure,” said Moneymaker about the new team on Twitter.

You can actually follow the Las Vegas Moneymakers via their brand new Twitter account.

The next 11 team names are going to be announced over the coming weeks but we’ll take a stab at a few right now:

The LA Jamie Gold Stars
The Palo Alto Brat Pack
The Copenhagen Great Danes

Thank you. Thank you. We’ll be here all week.

2) Greg Raymer Posts $105k Package on YouStake

Want a piece of a former world champion?

You can make that happen as Greg “Fossilman” Raymer put a $105k package on YouStake for 2016.

You might remember Raymer from winning the WSOP Main Event for $5,000,000 in 2004.

Poker is expensive, however, and Raymer has decided to remove some of the variance this year by selling some of himself on YouStake.

He’s currently sold over 50% of the package but there’s still time to get in on the action with 16 days left to buy in.

Despite a relatively modest $44k in live tournament earnings in 2015, Raymer has been a beast on the Heartland Poker Tour with four titles since 2011.

Raymer also mentions in the YouStake posting that he plans to play more frequently in 2016.

3) Mizzi Thrashes Rast in Boxing Match

Did you miss the big Sorel Mizzi vs. Brian Rast boxing match on Dec. 30?

Well it actually happened (unlike some other planned poker pro fights) and Mizzi overpowered Rast in less than three rounds.

The actual fight wasn’t even the best part, however, as the event managed to raise over $8,000 for REG.

It was arguably the poker event of the year with Maria Ho and Melanie Weisner handling the national anthem and Antonio Esfandiari handling master of ceremonies duties.

You can watch the complete fight below (although it's frustratingly sideways for the entire time):
