CD Poker hands out WSOP seats to PL.com players
By Sarah Polson
It's getting down to the wire for PokerListings.com players to qualify for the first CD Poker freeroll giving away a World Series of Poker* Main Event prize package.
Players who signed up at CD Poker through PokerListings.com have just today and Tuesday left to earn 200 player points to gain entry in the WSOP freeroll taking place March 19.
The freeroll will award a $12,500 prize package to the winner that includes the $10,000 buy-in for the Main Event plus $2,500 for travel, accommodation and other expenses.
The winner won't be the only player walking away with something from the freeroll either. CD Poker is putting in an extra $2,500 to spread deep into the standings as well.
The March 19 freeroll starts at 6 p.m. (GMT) and is open to all PokerListings.com players, both new and existing, at the poker site.
There will be three more freerolls after that leading up to the WSOP Main Event.
The next one is scheduled for April 16 at 6 p.m. (GMT). Players have from March 18 to April 15 to collect the 200 points needed to qualify.
Players who collect 200 player points from April 15 to May 13 will earn entry into the May 14 freeroll, and those who collect 200 points from May 13 to June 17 will be eligible for the June 18 freeroll.
The first freeroll may be the one that CD Poker players want to take their shot at, however. Historically, the initial events in these types of series don't draw the big playing fields that later ones do when players figure out what a good deal they are.
Now is the time for PokerListings.com players to take advantage of what CD Poker has to offer and potentially land themselves a spot in the 2008 WSOP Main Event.
