Tony Sinishtaj and Isaac Kempton Become Overnight Millionaires in the Wynn Millions

Tony Sinishtaj and Isaac Kempton Become Overnight Millionaires in the Wynn Millions

The $10 million guaranteed Wynn Millions $10,000 Main Event was a resounding success with 1,075 entries generating a $10,105,000 prize pool. The top two players became overnight millionaires after Tony Sinishtaj defeated Isaac Kempton heads-up to win the title along with the $1,655,952 top prize.

This was easily the biggest haul for Sinishtaj who nearly doubled his live tournament winnings to $3.4 million after the win according to The Hendon Mob.

Sinishtaj came into the final table in the middle of the pack and wasn’t in the best spot with the formidable chip leaders in Vanessa Kade and Alex Livingston both holding position over Sinishtaj.

“Coming in I had a bad seat with the chip leaders to my left, so I played tight and kind of tried to ladder, play tighter than normal,” Sinishtaj shared about his final table strategy with PokerNews after the victory. “But then once I got the chip lead, I kind of tried to switch it around on them a little bit.”

Final Table Action

Kade entered the final table with the chip lead with Livingston and Tony Tran also sporting huge stacks north of 100 big blinds.

Two short-stacked players were eliminated during the first 20 hands with Sinishtaj chipping up when his big slick won a flip to eliminate Neng Lee in ninth place followed by Sean Perry hitting the ropes in eighth place when his nines were dominated by Kempton’s cowboys.

Kade and Kempton swapped the chip lead back and forth before Roland Shen got it in with king-jack on a nine-high flop and was eliminated in seventh place after he was unable to get a miracle against the set of nines held by Michael Stembera.

All momentum was with Kade as she built her stack to more than double that of her nearest competitor. Sinishtaj was near the bottom of the pack but began to chip up while sending Tran packing when his cowboys were good against sixes. A few hands later, Sinishtaj catapulted into second place just behind Kade on a crucial flip with jacks holding against big slick to eliminate Stembera.

Kade was the table captain for most of the final table up until this point when things began to fall apart for the former ACR ambassador. Sinishtaj wrestled the lead away from Kade before what may have been the hand of the final table took place.

Sinishtaj jammed the river with six-five suited on a paired board with a flush. Kade tanked for several minutes before she made the call with pocket rockets only to get the bad news that she was out of chips in fourth place.

Three-handed play lasted several hours. Sinishtaj managed to extend his chip lead to more than that of both his opponents combined but it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the New York native as Livingston eventually snagged the lead away. Sinishtaj doubled through Livingston when his jacks held against eights to take back the lead. This wasn’t the end of the story as Kempton doubled through Livingston shortly after to take his first chip lead at the final table.

Not too much later, the action was heads-up with Sinishtaj and Kempton neck and neck in chips after Sinishtaj’s big slick was good enough to eliminate Livingston with king-jack in third place.

Perhaps the third-place finish was fitting for Livingston as he also had the same podium finish in the 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event for a cool $4 million.

The heads-up battle was a quick one with Sinishtaj claiming the coveted Wynn trophy after his rockets were good against jacks.
