This Wednesday, the first major poker tournament in Europe starts inside the King's Casino Resort in Rozvadov on the Czech-German border. The WSOP returns to the King's shortly after the WSOP Europe Main Event and will have a total of 15 ring tournament during the three-week circuit event.
A total of 15 tournaments will be played in this series and €3 million in prize money is guaranteed.
Highlights of the series
- €250 Mini Main Event with €500,000 guaranteed (over 7 starting days)
- €550 Monster Stack NLH with €500,000 guaranteed (5 starting days)
- €440 Limit Stud Event and €1,100 5-Card PLO Event
- €1,700 Main Event with €1,000,000 guaranteed (2 starting days)
The first two highlight tournaments have a comparatively high guarantee of half a million euros while having a low buy-in. These are re-entry tournaments and it can be assumed that many players will buy into the tournaments far more than once.
The Main Event starts on January 21st and has only 2 starting days. It is still possible to enter on the 2nd day. The structure of the Main Event is very slow with 60-minute levels and a starting stack of 250 big blinds.
Satellites with buy-ins starting at 45 euros run parallel to the big events. In addition, of course, the King's Casino runs regular cash games with NLH tables starting with at €1/€3.
